Forums - Sony Discussion - Revisiting The Infamous World...

So I was able to trade in my hard copy of Mass Effect: Andromeda to Gamestop and got a $13.87 credit. I flipped that into a digital copy of Andromeda ($9.89 in the Flash Sale) and Infamous: First Light ($4.99 in the Flash Sale). Not bad right? Anyway, I’ve not played Infamous since maybe 2014 and I must say I’m quite enjoying revisiting Seattle. The world is sprawling and vast and Fetch is a great character. In fact, I’m starting to like her more than Delsin. The only drawback is that she’s only got her own power while Delsin was able to absorb the power of other Conduits. I also like how they’ve added Neon powers to Fetch that Delsin didn’t possess. It would be boring to have the same power Delsin had. Ultimately I feel this is a great game. Especially for a “launch” title. I’d love to see a full Infamous game with Fetch as the main protag.

Does the title look broken for anyone else?

It does to me. I’m trying to fix it.

First light is superior to second son in every way tbh

Need more of Fetch haha

Glad to see this opinion has been growing in popularity over time. Playing Second Son after the first two inFamous games really makes you realize how much got lost in the PS3-PS4 transition. At the very least, First Light brings some of the inFamous back to the series! Plus it was kind of a breath of fresh air to skip out on Karma entirely for FL - I wouldn't completely mind if an inFamous 4 did the same, if they can't grey in the black and white a little bit.

At the same time, I don't really expect to see another inFamous game.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I love Infamous 1&2 but I sadly couldn’t get into SS. Something about the fights didn’t resonate with me, early in the game already. Loved the graphics, especially in HDR.

The graphics were fantastic. Don't know if I'll get around to it, but I kind of want to go back and take a look at it with HDR now that I have the option. @op Although I really liked both of the PS4 inFamous games, I enjoyed the 1 and 2 a bit more. Can't quite put my finger on why though. I can say however, that one of the things that disappointed me about SS was the size of the open world. Felt pretty small to me.

I miss Cole.

If only more gamers played the evil Cole/ending for Infamous 2 then we'd still have Cole!!

Daaamn. I forgot about that. Deslin really grew on me though. I looked it up, and I'm a bit surprised that only 22% of players saw the evil ending. I always play twice in games with karma-O-meters.

Yea I always play it twice too to see both sides, it was really fun and almost like playing a different game cause Cole is changes personality.

It's unfortunate that only 22% of players played the evil ending as I really enjoyed that ending more than the good ending.  The evil ended made me feel like wanting more.

Second Son and First Light are 2 of the best PS4 games. They don't get enough recognition by gaming media for their fun gameplay.

A lot of people don't play both sides of the Infamous games. I don't get it. They enjoy 1 playthrough mostly the good side and don't play the other and complain that the game is short.
