I am using sloshing machine neo now and trying different things. 6 subs of sub weapon saver enables two point sensors (might be of some use) and I am trying to figure out if using one main of sub power up is any good for it (more than that seems too much for too little effect).

As for weapon meta, I am at the moment pretty clueless? If someone is familiar with the meta right now, then that would be nice to hear.

Sub Power-Up is very worth on Point Sensors, the 1 main 3 subs I use let the tag last roughly 12-13 seconds on top of range near equal to a Splat Charger.

From what I'm seeing by far the most used weapons are N-Zap, Forge Pro, Blaster, n Splattershot. But otherwise, atleast in solo queue pretty much everything is used commonly except H-3, Tenta Brella, Glooga Dualies, Goo Tuber, basically the worst weapons as you'd expect. (Personally I don't think Goo Tuber is bad anymore, but still as a ranged weapon it's outclassed by Splat Charger n Heavy Splatting)

Man I love the H3, it’s the weapon I preform best with.

Do you have all your Sub Power-Up on the same piece of gear or do you get the same sum effect when the 3 sub abilities are spread across multiple pieces of gear?

Edit: I used the N-Zap '89 pretty exclusively until I got the Hero Shot Replica

I have to think you'd perform better with a Splattershot Pro or Dualie Squelchers, but if you like the weapon and are able to do well with it, more power to ya!

They're all on one piece, but the effect is the same no matter the spread, only the number of mains n subs matter.

Splattershot Pro is too slow and dualie squelchers do to little damage.

Of course this is my personal opinion.

Nice, thanks.

True or False

If you were using ability chunks to customize all you sub slots with 3 total abilities you could put one ability on each piece of gear spending 30 total chunks. Alternately if you wanted to put the same 3 subs on a single piece of gear making it shiny (perfect) you would spend 60 ability chunks to do so while ending up with the same net effect as the first scenario where you only spent 30 chunks.

False! Well technically what you said is correct, but there are a few ways to get shiny gear while only needing to use 30 chunks, or none at all if you get super lucky. The simplest is when the gear has the brand you want, you just level it up then scrub it on repeat until you get 2 correct sub abilitys (getting all 3 is possible but much less likely). Splatnet gear makes it easier to get the main ability + brand you want. By using drinks it's possible to get 2 subs of any ability you want on any piece of gear you want (getting all 3 is possible but really unlikely). Due to that flexibility this is overall the best and most consistent method, but of course you're limited by the number of drink tickets you have, so always play Salmon Run! Lastly, ordering already shiny gear from other players and hoping you're lucky enough to get atleast 2 subs (again 3 is possible but extremely unlikely). This is slow and inconsistent, but atleast it can be done alongside the other methods.

Good advice.  I was just driving at the notion that although having shiny gear is nice you can get the same effect by spreading those sub-abilities across multiple pieces of gear for less ability chunks.

Is it weird that, after playing almost every combination available in the game, the basic roller is still the best weapon? I can't really be half as effective with the rest of the combinations as I am with the roller.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
