Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Splatoon 2 Thread now open for business

I'm still trying to adjust to the gyro aiming, I'm not used to having to use motion controls to look up and down.

I just did some ranked Splat Zones for the first time (most of my time on Switch has been spent in Xenoblade which I just finished), over the course of 2 rank ups, went from C- to B, then from B to A+. I'm satisfied.

Nice job. Its good to have that rank skipping mechanic in splatoon 2. I envy those that are so good that they skip ranks (numbers) in S+ rank, like from S+3 to S+6 and so on.  Maybe you are soon one of those ;)

Yeah it takes some time to get used to, but in no time (no pun intended) you will realize that it has become your second nature. Its surprising how natural it feels once you get more used to it. So easy and fluid.

How long did it take you before you adjusted?

I don´t remember exactly and of course it happens gradually, but suddenly it just hit me and I realized that it was something that I no longer didn´t need to think about.

I bought the first splatoon on first day and had already participated on the global testfire before splatoon released. So i diddn´t need to adjust to splatoon 2, apart from few minor differences. But yeah, maybe participaring in the testfire helped me to adjust quickly.

Using the motion to help aiming is in splatoon much better and more competetive than sticking to sticks.

Just play and see :D

I played the first 3 levels of the Story Mode, I'll probably try to finish that to get the hang of the controls before playing online.

I didn't even know rank skipping was a thing until I looked it up afterwards. I'm looking forward to seeing how long my performance holds past S. I use a bucket, and it's fun seeing the post results with no else using it.

Depending on what bucket that is, I'm pretty sure there's still plenty of people using it. Hell, for splatting people, most of them are honesty pretty good for it, with all of them having a 2-hit Splat, if not close to it.

Also I just really list the Bucket Meta, and how there's the chance for anyone to talk about any kind of Bucket Meta.

Ah, that's good to know. Most of what I saw were splattershots (usually pros, aerosprays, or sploosh-o-matics), duelies, brushes, and rollers with an occasional charger or blaster thown in.

Welcome to the new meta :p

Apparently the sloshing machine is pretty strong due to 2 hit KO + attack speed
