Forums - Sony Discussion - Do you expect "JAPAN STUDIO" in a big way at E3?

we know that at the moment we know nothing on what japan studio is working at the moment, but knowing them for sure they are working on more than at one project...do you think the prepare maybe something big for the E3? a new game with fromsoftware, a big jrpg (freedom wars 2), a big project with another developer (capcom or squareenix)...how big are the chances?

Bloodborne 2 has been teased, so either E3 or TGS... yes!

After how disappointing E3 was last year, I honestly am not really going to expect anything this year.

don't know, but for me sony seems very silent lately, and they know that nintendo is doing very good with the switch. and we don't know release dates from many big ip's and somehow i have the feeling that japan studio could come up with a big game for this e3 and this year could maybe again on the level of 2015/2016...

Bloodborne was 99% the work of From Software.

Japan Studio hasn't made a good or relevant game in ages, so not sure why you would expect something big from them.

Was it really that bad? Monster Hunter World scored 90% on metacritic and SOTC scored 92%, both were announced during Sony's press conference if I remember correctly.

Better than their 2015 conference where all those "megatons" still need to release (Shenmue 3 & FF 7 Remake).

Japan Studio's isn't all that big or important for Sony anymore to begin with, so no. Now I do expect lots of progress from the suckerpunch game.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

with the PS5 it could happen. Right now Japan Studio is under training with Mark Cerny, that is why they are only making small games (Knack, Knack2, Everybody golf). They need to get to know the drill once again before making great big games again. They lost it with the PS3 era with the tech spike.

I remember not being impressed, it seems like almost everything in it was already announced beforehand.

We don't know that it is actually Bloodborne 2...

But I hope it is though.
