Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Video: Bayonetta 3 is more important for sales than Pokemon Switch

Around the Network

I'd say no to this.

Source: My circle, most of my friends would only buy a switch when Pokemon is out. One case I had was with this friend choosing a PS4 over a Switch for his first console in years. When I told him that the next Pokemon will be on Switch, he reconsidered quickly saying there's also a lot of exciting games coming to Switch.

Bayonetta is important to me since I've purchased the game three times on three different systems and I've never even played a Pokemon game. We live in a real world, though. I know Pokemon is more important.

Pokemon sells consoles. Once you got one it be silly not to buy any other games that you may find interesting.

I've never played Pokémon or Fire Emblem. Both of which will be rectified on my Switch

Even if the ratio at which Pokemon gamers buy other games is way below that of Bayonetta, it will still easily make more of a difference by the simple virtue of exponentially greater volume.

Yeah, this is my thought as well. Even if Pokemon sells on the low-end and Bayonetta on the high end of their spectrums...it's still going to be a difference of maybe...10:1? That's huge..and that's to say nothing of how many people will buy the system for Pokemon to begin with.
