Payday 2's release on the Switch is about as perplexing as the release of Zombi U on the XB1 and PS4 in the sense that it's an old game that no one really wanted.  Anything close to 100k lifetime should be considered a rousing success based on how it disappointed on the PS4/XB1 and the bad reputation its developers have.

I can't see it ever selling anywhere close to that number, unless I've really misjudged this.

I mean sure it's slightly high profile AA game, but on the X1 and PS4 it rates 65 / 71% on Meta, a downgraded port of this on the Switch is almost certainly going to rate poorer than those so you are talking about a game which appeals to probably 20-30 year old male gamers who mostly play online FPS, those gamers in general are not the type of person that has a switch, and if they are... the system already has Doom2016 a far superior game in this area.

My thing is just... who is this for basically, and how many of those are on the Switch and would be willing to drop €50 on something which relies mostly on a bustling online community to fully enjoy it. The target audience on Switch is almost certainly under 100k , please.. keep in mind here I'm not saying that the type of person this game would appeal too is less than 100k on Switch, I mean when you also factor in people who wouldn't be thrown by the games mediocre reviews on superior hardware, wouldn't be thrown by the 17x bigger asking price and wouldn't be thrown to just buy Doom instead when it's around the same price, if not cheaper.

I already own Doom and Played Bayonetta to death on Wii U, so I thought Payday 2 looks interesting.

Got home from work, and to my surprise Amazon delivered my copy of Payday 2 early. Played the training missions and spent 2 hours online heisting. Always found some co-op buddies, which I didn't expect seeing as the game doesn't officially release until Friday. Kept failing all our missions, but then again we are all noobs at this point. Had great fun though, fingers crossed the community grows.

From now on, all Switch FPS games should have this IMO.

Sold like shit on the xbox one and PS4. It's great on PC, but it's dead on consoles. Doubt the switch will change that.

Agree, it just makes sense to include it, if you dont it may affect sales
