Heh, you get used to some posters "humour" after a while. I do think the person who made the post which Rol quoted might believe something like that to be true though, but I'm not sure if he maybe mistook this thread to be about the user ratings rather than critic scores because then it might make some sense.

They needed to come out swinging and what better way than main line titles for both their flag ship franchises and using critically acclaimed titles from the Wii U to the switch. Nintendo needed to come out swinging and swing they did.

Metacritic doesn't say anything about the quality of the games.
Besides that most critics tend to exaggerate their scores with Nintendo games imo.
