You've never heard of social pressure? That's the main weapon of feminists.

I've heard of social pressure, but social pressure requires it to be a large enough amount of people that it'll actually impact them. And that indirectly implies it's a financial decision.

Do you really think that the poor F1 and dart tournament organizers are pushed around against their will, towards a direction that they both don't agree with and that will lose them money? In that case, it's just bad leadership.

Social pressure can lead to bad PR, which in turn will hurt them financially. But then it's the financial repercussions (which again means that there's a large enough group of people that care about this, that they are just listening to their audience). Either way you cut it, it's fundamentally a leadership decision. Not feminists.

Besides, there are other groups that are trying to exert social pressure in different directions. They're just apparently doing a worse job at it.

You're just downplaying the feminist movement's role in this to shift blame for this. God forbid feminists get caught doing something that hurt women.

Man or woman you will never get more power by limiting your own freedom

You will, however, get more equal power by applying the same opportunities or restrictions to both sexes. Opening racing modeling up to men would have the same effect, but the occupation adds nothing to the sport in the first place.

I don't know. The ban is a bit harsh, but I've always been sceptical of grid girls. They're just like those models in car shows: they have no good reason for being there.

Cosplayers and Comic cons are hired for no good reason too, should cons ban them? Or ban cosplay in general?

Not a good example. Many cons and expos have removed 'booth babes' from their events, but men and women are still hired as promoters. The distinction is that the former is vapid, shallow, and has nothing to do with gaming/comics/electronics/whatever is supposed to be represented. Professional cosplayers specifically represent characters from the properties they're promoting and I wouldn't be surprised if you've criticized bad/unimaginative cosplay in the past as just an excuse to show tits and ass.

Yes, let's blame feminism for this and not the ones with the actual power to make these decisions.

I've hardly seen any feminists admonishing the decision, particularly the sex-negative feminists.

OT: Taking away jobs that some women take (under their own volition) as a stepping stone to professional modeling is obviously a great idea... Whether there is a point or not to having grid girls is your subjective opinion.

Now, own volition is difficult to determine. We have to consider their economic circumstances too, so while they may be passively accepting the job, it may not be what they truly desired to do. Of course, there could be some or most that truly want to do it, but we'd have to ask them to know. Though I guess I am a male so I can't entirely speak for them as I didn't grow up and have to live in the circumstances that they did.

They look good. Nothing wrong with looking good.

It would be nice if you would actually adress my arguments.

My girlfriend was working as a grid girl. She didn't exactly lose her job because she was hired as a freelancer anyway, she just won't get any new offers from there but will continue to work at conventions and stuff. But she's still mad, she liked working there. And just so you know, she told me she never felt "objectified" or something.

I don't know what the big deal is and I would have liked them to keep the girls. I like pretty girls! What's so freaking wrong about that?

I did. I summarized what you were trying to do with your words. Feminists have a shit ton of influence and are able to put a megaton of social pressure on companies. The wage gap as they try to paint it is a myth but they somehow get alot of people to believe in that santa clause regardless of being able to google it. Companies for the most part won't fight against that bullshit claim because they're afraid of being labeled the s word. They just give them raises.

Anita made a career out of this stuff. She's involved in that anthem game even though she has zero expertise in anything but calling something sexist and she gets paid for it. They're taking her advice..... and they're paying her for it.

That sport's main consumer is guys. Why would they remove pretty girls in appealing clothing from the sport? It doesn't make sense considering that most guys like attractive women. There was some sex negative feminist involved in this that was guilt tripping the owners and they caved.

You didn't summarize anything. You wrote a strawman.

If feminists have all this power you claim they have, where does that strength originate from? Strength from numbers? Financial strength? Powerful positions in politics?

How could "some sex negative feminist" guilt trip the owners, if the owners don't feel guilty for the practice (which they wouldn't, unless they agree with said "sex negative feminist")? Do you think some small group of feminists would be able to force the owners to against their will do something that would hurt them financially? No. Unless the owners thought that in the long run, this practice would hurt them financially by alienating viewers/sponsors, they wouldn't do it...

Are you serious with this? This is why I didn't take your points seriously. Most female celebs are feminists. Alot of the media are feminists. Most of the left are feminists. Ya got trudeau lecturing a naive kid that we should say peoplekind instead of mankind when she asked a question. He's a male feminist btw. Did ya not see that pussyhat march?

You're just attempting to downplay the influence of feminists so we can't say this shit is their fault.
