when i said in another thread recently that feminism has "progressed" to the stage where it'll hurt women, people acted like i was mad

but that's because they don't really get the animating force at the bottom of the ideology (equality of outcomes between men and women)... and why its toxic and harmful to both men and women

does this not mean btw that they have to start attacking models?

That's terrible, those girls who are employed to do those jobs put a lot of time and effort into doing what they do... horrible for people to prevent them doing their job and earning a living just because they view the jobs so poorly... awful.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I hope they aren't doing this to save a buck, cause I can see this backfiring on them in that regard.

The people who enjoy this sport and go to it, I can see boycotting it due to a move like this. You know like the people who boycott the NFL for kneeling. Those same people are the type of fans of this sport.

Feminists are a plague. They fight for ''women'' yet cost women their jobs. Seems counter-productive.

What feminists own Formula 1 or a dart tournament?

Exactly how can feminists force those owners to stop them from conducting business as they want to? They can't. Simple as that. I've already explained this in another post, but unless there's a financial argument (in which case you can hardly blame "feminism", you can't force neither advertisers nor viewers to accept their policies) or the owners themselves agreed with the viewpoint and made the call themselves, there's no way this would happen.

You've never heard of social pressure? That's the main weapon of feminists.

Did it ever occur to you guys that they may not have been removed because of a vocal minority but as part of a bigger move to make the sport more appealing to a wider audience? Perhaps execs were thinking more of the greater female audience offput by masculine culture than the smaller audience crying sexism that would probably never watch it anyway.

Hm...

I wonder how long we'll have to wait until women get prohibited from becoming pregnant because men cannot perform that role.

EDIT: Yes, that's a broader topic than sports, but still...

I must have been unclear with my point. This isn't about freedom as so many of you are making it out to be. Men don't have the freedom to do this but no one cares about that... Its about objectification of woman in society and it being shoehorned into huge, family friendlhy sport events and probergating a culture of continued objectification.

"Its about objectification of woman"

which means what?

I'm not a woman, but if my favorite sport was full of guys whose primary purpose was to stand around and look pretty, maybe flaunt their bulge or asses or whatever, I'd probably be off put by it. Doesn't have to be sexist or anything to negatively affect a demographic's enjoyment.

why would you be off put by it? i'm just curious because i personally wouldn't care, they don't have any impact on the sport itself, i'm just trying to understand the mindset

personally i'd honestly say that preoccupation with these things over the sport itself kind of demonstrates to me that the focus is not really the sport itself

am i really supposed to believe that people like that give a damn about F1?

To me it would come off as vapid and shallow while adding nothing to the sport.

That goes both ways though if you have a bunch of guys making a big deal about their removal.

Like I said earlier, who says it's about people like that and not the wider female audience, some of whom could become fans in a more neutral environment?
