lol Activision or Ubisoft. Disney not in touch with the industry I see.

Sure they are.

EA, Activision & Ubisoft are the big 3 when it comes to 3rd party publishers, the have a massive amount of success when it comes to making AAA mainstream games.

These are the type of publishers that Disney wants making Star Wars games, the kind that can pump out 10+ million sellers on a consistent basis.

Then why are they dropping EA?

I personally really like Ubisoft, so I’d be happy if they developed the Star Wars games.

I approve of this.
Id like to see what Ubisoft would do with it.

I was late pucking up The rebooted battlefront and although it was fun to play, it definitely felt shallow. I had hoped it would be expanded by the reviews put me off long after the microtransaction debacle as it sounded like the same shallow structure. I can't guarantee I wouldn't pick it up pre-owned somwhere down the line but not in the short term with everything else I looking to play.

As much as I'd hope for. The best, if an Activision developed Battlefront turned out to be a re-skinned CoD game would that be a huge change from EA's reskinned Battlefield? Ubisoft would more do something in the style of Assassins Creed or Tom Clany, somin terms of standing out I'd actually be more up for seeing them do it.

Why do an exclusivity deal? Why not approach it like Marvel is apparently doing with games right now and let developers and publishers pitch their ideas to Lucasfilm. That way we get more games

edit: But if a exclusivity deal happens i don't want Activision anywhere near this franchise

Yeah, I agree. More games and probably more genres.

Honestly, moving from EA to Activision is probably a lateral move. Ubisoft would be an improvement, but not a big one.

I'd rather it go to someone else besides Ubisoft or Activision. I want to see a good Star Wars game from someone, rather than another CoD or Far Cry clone.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

Jar Jar + Rabbids will be a knockout hit!

Ok, so they are dropping the exclusivity, not EA. Fair enough. My point still stands though. Why do they think Activision or Ubisoft will handle it any better?

Remember the thread reactions to the first leaked Mario + Rabbits pictures?
Then the trailers hit and no one was laughing anymore, but instead had their jaws on the floor.
