Eh, I've got my 1070 mining some altcoin right now. Might as well make some extra cash on it, my electricity is cheap, and we need heating anyway lol.

Though I didn't buy my 1070 for that purpose, which is the difference.

The thing is though... when you can make 500$ a year with a GTX 1070 from basically doing nothing, ofcourse people will be willing to pay more than MSRP for it. It won't change unless cryptos die, all algorithms are asic'd, or Nvidia and AMD all of a sudden were to flood the market with GPUs (against their interest, they make money of this lol).

RIP PC gaming. Looks like I'll be stuck with my 1060 forever. The Mr. Robot scenario is happening, cryptocurrency is taking over.

Ye great time to invest in console gsming. Getting so cheap. 

You dont know that. The day we die it will probably still be around.

Nothing lasts forever either, unless it's made of a material that decays far slower than others. 

Good thing those that pay for high end hw are still doing so  

This is the reason why console prices are not dropping and won't for a while, component prices are thru the roof for memory and gpu's, even older ones.

Good there are no GPUs worth buying right now.
