So... are we getting a thread like this for every multiplat that will sell 1k more at retail in Japan on the Switch. Because we are going to get a whole lot more of these. Is anyone genuinly surprised by this? Does anyone consider this newsworthy?

Isn't this the first multiplatform game that pulled this off? That certainly makes it newsworthy, especially when you consider that it is a late port and the game is still selling five months after its release. It added 3,700 copies to its total last week, so it's far from being done and the eventual lead over the PS4 version will be much bigger than 1k units.

Can I do a thread every time a muliplat sold more on ps4? Anyways fighting games aren't really great playing on the go because of the lack of d pad.

Of course you can make such threads everytime it happens. Just be aware that such threads don't reflect nearly as positive on the PS4 as they do reflect negatively on yourself.

As far as I remember FIFA 18 did it as well. And again, these are just retail sales so no digital is included. But all in all this will be the trend going forward. Switch games will probably constantly outsel their PS4 counterprat in Japan, the same way 3DS did.

Not surprising. Japan is Nintendoland by any means, being on Switch clearly helped.

Great news though, this franchise never gets boring.

Makes sense, the Nintendo Switch is the best place for the Japanese GAMER. Also known as “Paradise.”

How do you know about that joke? That was long before you joined

It's been said a lot by other users recently. Go look at sales threads months ago.

It needs more visual novels, Pokémon  and Monster Hunter before it becomes "Paradise" for the Japanese gamer.

Great news. Dragon Ball games tend to do well on Nintendo handhelds, and this was not an exception. I want to see Fighter Z coming to the Switch as well. NamcoBandai are very close with Nintendo nowadays, so I don't see their main titles missing the platform.
