Microsoft has never officially revealed what sales figures for the Xbox One are. We do know that it has sold less than Sony’s PlayStation 4, but the extent of the deficit is unclear. Microsoft France may have let the proverbial cat out of the bag in a sale history demographic of the Xbox division.

The leaked infographic shows that Microsoft’s current-generation console has sold 36.2 million units. It also shows that the best-selling game on the device is Call of Duty: Black Ops II with 11.4 million units sold

It is unclear when this data was prepared, but we imagine it was recent. Whether 36.2 million is a respectable number or not depends on how you thought Xbox One was doing.

It's respectable. If Microsoft is correct in saying things will change at E3 2018, and we get Fable 4 and all sorts of goodies (plus if this console generation stays until at least Nov 2020) I could see it selling more than 50m.

I just randomly stumbled onto this article. I know it’s dated from last June but it seems to be official if coming from Microsoft France. And if it is, I figured I’d post it to see what everyone thinks. Unless this info has been debunked already as false. Then I apologize for creating a thread based on false info.

I remember seeing that exact same info graphic, in French, that was proven to be produced by a French fan site that doesn't know diddly-squat about the sales of the XBO. I remember beloved M.I.A. VGC member aLkaLiNE losing his his over it. Then I joined in and lost my shit. Then everybody lost their shit. Something like that. I think Wikipedia was involved in some way too. I may look around tomorrow. Almost bed time now.

I did in a thread about Xbox. One member said it was debunked as being vgchartz was the source and another simply saying it was false. Zhuge replies earlier in the thread to a member saying Xbox one is currently around 35 million worldwide. So who knows.
