I don't hate MS, they're just always my third choice between Sony, Nintendo, and them. And i only have room for 2 consoles each gen. The biggest reason that the original Xbox, was the last one that i owned.

I'm pretty sure that the first game I played on the original X Box was NFL Fever 2002 over one of my friends house. But I never bought the game once I bought my own console. The first game I had for it was Dead or Alive 3 since it was bundled with the console.

Im glad you came to your senses OP. The games that are offered by all systems make it the best time to be a gamer. I dont understand the hate for a company while loyal to a company with the same goals. To me it shows a bit of mental disability on their part, or maybe some of its cool to hate on things on the internet, I dont know, and dont really care, I just ignore them and keep enjoying all the games the industry offers.

I also fell in love with xbox when i played halo for the first time, I was so impressed with it I went up to Blockbuster Video at midnight as it was the only thing open then, and bought an xbox console with halo. My friends and I also stayed up until early morning hours playing split screen multiplayer, we had many good times with that system, starting my love of that series as well as the xbox which before I could have cared less for as I had a PS2 and gamecube at the time.

You have a similar story to mine. I was a Nintendo fanboy going back to the NES i got for my 8th Bday. Than the SNES and than the N64 which was the bread and Butter for me. Rare and Nintendo to me were the principle of gaming.

I also own a PS1 which i loved FF7 and Crash Series and Driver however i started slowly getting into PC gaming and consoles to me stopped being relevant. I did not buy a Gamecube, Dreamcast, PS2 and Xbox. It was until Halo 3 that sparked my interests. I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi and shooters, Dense Stories and great music and Halo offered everything.
I went back to play Halo 1 and 2 again thanks to the 360 BC and since than i called my Xboxes the Halo Box.

Absolutely adored the original xbox, I saw what it was capable of and bought one immediately. Fantastic console which I still have under my tv today. Admittedly now its got a 2TB hdd with all my favourite xbox games and emulated games on it. First console with proper 5.1 sound. Graphically weak today but still find the graphics acceptable on quite a few games. I like that generation of consoles anyway. I was a big fan of Dreamcast and Gamecube too. Probably my favourite console generation.

In contrast I truly hate the windows operating system, absolute garbage and bloatware of zero value. Sucks the power out of hardware and leads to much time wasted sorting out its problems.

I think its gay to hate an electronic.

Oh and fanboyism is even gayer!  To admit your a fanboy is one of the worst things you can do. Glad you finally grew up and love all electronic plastic's equally!

I don't hate Xbox at all.  I just hate Microsoft.

When I was a kid, I got angry at Sony for daring to challenge Nintendo.  I got especially disgruntled over that infamous FF7 magazine ad.  Little did I know that the PS1 would become my favorite console of all time.

Lesson learned.

I used to not dislike any game company. Not Nintendo, not Sega, not Sony, not SNK, NEC or anyone else, never. I had many game systems, good Hardware with healthy videogame philosophy incorporated. Then Microsoft came along...

to op: I used to hate on the PS3 from like 2010-2013, cause of console warrzz.  While I dont do that anymore, I still insist that PS3 is a shitty console (unpopular opinion, I know). And for the record, my favourite console of all time is the PS2.

Never hated any console maker.... but times are tough.

XB: Loved it, best MS console for sure.
360: It was okay, but had lots of issues HW wise and SW wise.
XB1: Didn't buy, too expensive.
