Well Wind Waker still looks good after like 15 years. SOTC is also graphically less impressive than the original was. And the only reason the original's graphics were this good is because of the fact it's empty AND it has a horrible framerate.

Wind Waker looked terrible on release and looks even worse now. What on earth are you talking about?

You clearly don't like the art style but why, it still looks amazing to me I absolutely adore the art style and what Nintendo did with the landscapes and characters. It just creates a fantastic fantasy world with a lot of charm. If there is a case for stating Nintendo are the best game developers in the world Wind waker would be a large part of it.  Saying that Conker was incredibly impressive on original xbox but I can't really remember anything on ps2 that really impressed mainly because it had such awful low res fuzzy graphics and I was using a projector at the time which made them look even worse. The horrible basic textures and interlaced frames looked ok on a CRT but never scaled up very well. In the end I disconnected the ps2 from the projector and only used with a CRT which was reserved for a lower order of consoles at the time, N64, Saturn, 3DO, Super Nintendo etc.

We all know the kind of loops will be used to say Zelda is more "impressive" and they always go from objectively to preference.

I don't know how anyone can say this thread was meant to be taken seriously.

It's click bait like a bad online ad.

Its obvious what the anwers is , but i bet with you that plenty of people said the other and thinks that way. Vgchartz always had thread with absolutely stupid comparisons, this one is not the worst i have seen by far.

Just like those where people say WiiU wasn't underpowered and that Mario 3D world look just as good as Uncharted 4... and in the end for some "reason" half of VGC agrees with that POV.

What a sad excuse for a thread.

Let's compare Vita games to the Switch while we're at it.

Let's do it... I bet there will be less people saying the Vita game looks better or is more impressive than there are people saying about Zelda. Which really shows something right?

SOTC. Zelda just didn't impress me, like it did with most of the rest of the world. It was good, just not sure why it was scored so high.

ehh... no.

SotC has held up so good they had to re-make it...

...oh wait!

So that means a lot of Nintendo games are bad and didn't hold up since they made several remakes as well?

So GT4, FF X looked inferior to Wind Waker?

Why is a visual comparision necessary? Does it make one game inferior to the other one?

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

Zelda, obviously. Shadow of the Colossus is a PS2 game. Is not a fair comparison.

Oh, you mean the PS4 remaster? SotC, obviously. It's a PS4 game. It's not a fair comparison either.

Why don't I like the art style? Because liking a style is a matter of preference. I tend to not prefer any game that relies heavily on cel shading. It's not just Zelda, it's games like Jet Grind Radio, Gravity Rush, or Okami. It's incredibly offputting for me. I've never spent more than an hour playing any of those games mostly because they look so bad to me.

That's not to say that I can't stand games with a distinct art style, I mean I've put like 40+ hours into Breath of the Wild. It's just the cel shading.
