I keep my consoles and games myself. However, I don't mind if others sell theirs, actually I wouldn't be able to buy older games and consoles unless someone was selling them!

Keep it. These days all that stuff is so hard to find. One year you see it everywhere and within a year your out of luck.

People were dumping Dreamcast items like crazy a few years back. Now good luck finding that it Saturn stuff in stores. Online sure, but it's getting more expensive.

This past year N64 game prices skyrocketed! Just a few years back I was able to buy the entire library plus some Japanese only games easily. Now that would be a small fortune.

Don't get rid of them, they're priceless. Find something else to dump.

I made a mistake and did not get an Apple II system while I had the chance. Old private schools were dumping them like crazy as they finally cleared out their storage. Now you may find one for a thousand dollars on eBay. Games are another issue. Floppy disks used to be at every pawn shop or thrift shop you see and no one wanted them. Now find even a few games.

Keep it!

I think you may have just pushed me over the fence!  Cos there's something else I didn't say in the OP, but I've really got into emulators lately as well and thing is 5th gen consoles like the Saturn (and any since then, apart from Gamecube for some reason) emulate like crap.

I actually found the Saturn in a carboot sale and got it for £10, which certainly wouldn't be possible now! Anything for the system is rare as hell now and some of the games like Panzer Dragoon literally go for hundreds. Just got Shenmue II on Dreamcast for £52 a few weeks ago and thought that was expensive! Ironically, I think my love for the Dreamcast made me love the Saturn.

That's normally true but Sega and Nintendo are increasingly valuable for some reason

Keep 'em. No reason to sell something based on a conscious decision to buy.

Indeed I do. There's only a couple consoles I never held onto. 3DS and XB1. Other than those, i still have nearly every console ive ever bought or ever got for a gift growing up. Always good to just have a random nostalgia trip while plugging one of those old suckers in

I keep all my consoles now. I had to sell my nes when I was a kid to get the snes. And when the Wii came out I threw the GameCube away. I've since bought both again. And as Spurgeonryan says their value is increasing. I spent £70 on a copy of Resident Evil 2 for the N64 last year. Conkers bad fur day is worth about £200 last i checked.

Nothing to live for but I like it that way.

I keep all my old systems. Within just this past week, in addition to gaming on my Nintendo Switch and 3DS, I have also played my Intellivision (Pac-Man), Coleco Vision (Donkey Kong Jr., Venture, Mr. Do, Bump 'n' Jump), TRS-80 Color Computer 3 (Downland, Dragon Fire), SNES (Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past), & Sega CD (Lunar: The Silver Star Story).

I keep my old systems. I see no reason to get rid of them.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
