Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumored Nintendo E3 Lineup.

These E3 lineup rumors start earlier and earlier every year.

Around the Network

There is insiders on twitter pointing to a Direct really soon like this week or next week soon. There would be lots of announcements and there would be an actual event in March to talk more about the system and updates (I think on the anniversary or a bit later to talk about 1st year numbers etc).

A new horror IP will put Retro on the map again

Lol yeah. Because after making a somewhat obscure IP somewhat popular again and taking a beloved franchise and having it become underappreciated after just one sequel that no one wanted but was awesome af, what Retro really needs is to enter the world of developing games for an obscure genre

Metroid was a wise decision. Dk not.

Marcus Sellar is a fraud, I'd advise you not him serious. He has literally not been correct once and has gotten a lot of thing severely wrong. Now he is posting broad rumors that is beyond obvious..... Guys Nintendo will release a firmware update this quarter...... no shit, they always do. NIntendo is making Mario party for switch..... No one could have guess this. He has been wrong so much in the past he is now just leaking stuff that can't be wrong. Then is beyond broad on what he says.

For that tweet you posted, if a person can't pick a date, they are probably speculating. Or is a fake leak that has no sources since there source should know.

I know deep inside it's fake but I want to believe it so bad lol :(

A Nintendo horror game? You mean BESIDES Luigi's Mansion?

You sir have won the thread in my opinion.

Around the Network

most likely fake, i have no doubt that some fan just whipped this up in 10 minutes, but lets have fun and speculate

- Metroid Prime 4

i have no doubt that Metroid Prime 4 will be at E3. it is too big and too highly anticipated for them to just drop it in a direct.

- Pokemon Gen 8

GameFreak likes to do things their own way. they will likely reveal Gen 8 on their own terms, not at E3

- Bayonetta 3

this one is a given. if its being released this year then E3 is the perfect time to show it off.

- Pikmin 4

its about time we saw some Pikmin 4 footage. they said it was almost done over a year ago. im hoping we get a release date for this year

- Skyward Sword HD

eh, nobody is really asking for it. plus if they are working on another new Zelda game for the Switch then i dont see the point. but who knows, the Wii U got remakes of WW and TP so its not too much to expect

- Super Mario Maker 2 - Not a remake; A full blown sequel.

we will likely see Mario Maker on the Switch in some form, and a sequel would make the most sense.

- Smash Bros. 4 Deluxe - The "Ultimate Version" of the 3DS and Wii U versions which includes all the DLC + new content.

i feel like if Smash Bros is coming back then we are going to get a whole new game. it might have a lot of returning content, but Smash 4 had a lot of problems. the menu was terrible, content was cut, online was laggy, etc. and i feel like fixing all those issues as well as adding new content would warrant a sequel.

- Luigi's Mansion 3 - To celebrate Luigi's 35th Anniversary.

a guy can dream, and i would buy a new Luigi's Mansion on day 1 after Dark Moon being as amazing as it was. but i dont think its going to happen

- Wario Ware - Surprise! - New Wario Ware game for Nintendo Switch

eh

- Animal Crossing
- Fire Emblem
- Yoshi
- Mario Party 11

all of these are a given. Yoshi and FE are confirmed and AC is highly likely to appear. as for MP11, its going to happen.

- New IP - A Horror Game being developed by Retro Studios

no idea what this would be like

On one hand, nothing on this list really seems unreasonable. We’re due for a new Animal Crossing, a new Luigi’s Mansion certainly makes sense, and if any console could do Skyward Sword HD it’d be Switch. On the other hand...if I were to just make up what I thought a realistic list of E3 games would be, this’d basically be it, though I probably would have emphasized virtual console and XCX over Mario Maker 2 and Skyward Sword HD. I also don’t think a list of E3 games this far out from the show has EVER panned out. Nintendo’s plans for it are probably not even set in stone yet.

- Metroid Prime 4

I'm glad others enjoy it, but first person not only makes me nauseous, I hate the controls on it, too.

- Pokemon Gen 8

YAY.

- Bayonetta 3

Eh. Was never a fan of Bayonetta, despite its similarities to Devil May Cry.

- Pikmin 4

I remember liking the first one, but I've not played 2 or 3. I may give this one a go.

- Skyward Sword HD

SS is far from my favorite Zelda, but an opportunity to play it without the gimmicky motion control has me excited.

- Super Mario Maker 2 - Not a remake; A full blown sequel.

Never got into the first one, but I do enjoy watching Game Grumps tear their eyes out on really hard levels.

- Smash Bros. 4 Deluxe - The "Ultimate Version" of the 3DS and Wii U versions which includes all the DLC + new content.

YAY.

- Luigi's Mansion 3 - To celebrate Luigi's 35th Anniversary.

Don't care. I just don't care.

- Wario Ware - Surprise! - New Wario Ware game for Nintendo Switch

Ugh, mini games.

- Animal Crossing

Yeah, no. I understand that others like it, but I don't understand why.

- Fire Emblem

Yes, please and thank you.

- Yoshi

Hmm. Is there another gimmicky art style that makes it seem like a game for infants? Not trying to throw shade, but I'm not going to be caught with another yarn game unless I can pin it on my daughter.

- Mario Party 11

- New IP - A Horror Game being developed by Retro Studios

Looking forward to hearing more on this one.

Lol, who is "nobody"? I know of a few people who would like SS HD for Switch including myself. A sequel to BoTW wont be ready for years, an HD port is a nice way to tide over the fans until the next installment.

That would be a dream come true.... LOL
But, no, too much high profiles games for a single E3.

We probably will get some information about the next Metroid Prime or Pokemon Switch or Fire Emblem Switch, but that´s it.... just generic information about character design /development, no screenshots or gameplay or even trailers of sorts. Same goes with Bayonetta 3 or the highly-secret Pikmin 4

I also don´t believe, at this point, that they´re going to port Smash Bros or Mario Maker. Those games were very very successful and it would make sense to be ported but I do think Nintendo may have different plans for those franchises with... future sequels, maybe? Still... just a guess.

Now, I do think that we may get a new IP and some announcements about Animal Crossing ... after the extremely sucessfull New Leaf, and pushing Animal Crossing so hard on mobile, Nintendo would be crazy if they weren´t investing in a new Animal Crossing for the Switch.
