Because this option forces the game to run at 4k (if it supports 4k) rather than 1080p. You'll get the same framerate you would get playing it on a 4k tv.

Basically just a way to get around games that support 4k but don't support super-sampling, that detect your tv is 1080p and so runs the game at 1080p without giving you a choice.

Yes. This makes perfect sense - now I just wish I had a framecounter for comparisons in games where speed actually matters.

Good news for 1080p owners that already have a pro or are planning to get a PS4 for their 1080p screen.

I'm getting a PS4 soon, and was leaning towards the slim.......however, with this, I might lean towards the pro.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
