Next week Switch will probably reach 3M above last year's numbers

December 8th Numbers have (FINALLY) been added.

My apologies for taking longer on this than usual. These past few weeks have been pretty rough and hectic for me. For starters, I graduated from college! I got my Bachelor's Degree and managed to land a new job as a Parent Aide immediately afterwards. The problem: My job is in Tucson, Arizona, while I live in Rio Rico, which is around 45-60 minutes away. So on top of trying to get situated into this new job while trying to establish myself as a professional. I have had to do A LOT of driving and have found myself lower on energy than usual.

Thankfully, I have been able to get a little more comfortable in my new role now that I have a much greater understanding of what I have to do and how to do it. These are some big changes in my life that I have had to give careful attention and hopefully it all works out (mostly by either getting another job closer to my current home or move up to Tucson.)

But anyways, now I'm back and ready to roll again! It's SMASH BROS ULTIMATE WEEK and it shows!

Congrats! Nice accomplishment! Thanks for the numbers, I've been waiting patiently.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Thank you! And I apologize for the wait.

HAY! That's where I live!

Not that I'd ever see a stranger from the internet IRL ... could shank me or something

Shit! We may have passed by each other one or two times at the Harkins Theatre at the Spectrum and not even realized it! XD

Congratulations!

Edit: Brace yourself for adjustments, for Smash week during the holidays and just after Pokemon games, the boost over last year seems very poor. On the other hand PS4 sales seem too high, especially in the US if the rumors of < 1M sold are true.

December 15th numbers have just been added.
The Nintendo Switch is now up by over 3 million units from 2017.
The Xbox One continues to show notable growth and is looking like it will be a photo finish between this year and last year.
The PlayStation 4 is beginning to show its age and signs of decline, it's actually down week over week despite being one week closer to Christmas.

I think this is the last year PS4 will be the best selling console of the year and both Xbox one and PS4 will be significantly down next year due to more rumours about the next generation.
Also Switch is looking to have a much better variety of games coming in 2019 and possibility of revision/price cut.
I'm surprised to see PS4 being up in december compared to last year while being down for the whole year and not having the deal it got last year... also claims of Switch outselling the other 2 combined in the US could point out to ajustements.

It looks like a nail biter to the finish line. I think PS4 will win global, but US NPD for 2018 is still in play.
