Via the Rockstar Newswire: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60346/Red-Dead-Redemption-2-is-Coming-October-26th-2018

Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

With thanks,
Rockstar Games

This will sell a shit ton. Gives other ps4 titles breathing space over the summer too. Personally I'm glad because it gives me more time to play the original.

And i still don't know if i should be excited or not

I guess Sony has the holiday on lock down with this and CoD. Will have to see post E3.

At this stage I feel Sony will get their games out before this. Maybe Days Gone for holidays.

RDR rocks.

Singleplayer does, multiplayer not so much

Gonna sell over 12 million this year alone and 20+ million lifetime.

I was looking forward to playing this in Spring... I'd rather play over the summer then having it in Holiday season. But, I'm willing to wait for a great game:) give something else a chance to shine. Hopefully for Microsoft State of decay 2 is ready to launch in May or June.

I think 15M isn't out of the realm of possibility but I'll wait to predict that, we've seen far too little to tell anyway

Okay. It's really time for me to crack open the PS3 and pay the first one.

You probably haven't heard but these guys made Grand Theft Auto Online.

It's going to be great for wild west immersion when loot-boxes are spat out from another dimension from a purple vortex.
