I wonder how they're going to monetize it.

They'll probably make a limited number of tracks and characters / karts available the free version, and the rest will be locked behind the "full" version.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

So like, you win coins/points to unlock kart parts/characters but you only get a certain amount of tries if you don't get 1st place or something and if you want more attempts, you either wait or pay?

You probably pay for item blocks which are random.

No way in hell that's the case.

They learned their lesson with Super Mario run. Mario Kart will probably be a full free to play game like Fire Emblem.

Yeah, I can't quite imagine how this would play as a mobile game either. Motion control or touch base controls maybe?

I hope it's decent but I haven't liked Nintendo's mobile offerings that much so far.

If we see other Nintendo games as references, chances are you'll get X amount of races. Each time you race, you lose a flag. Flags take X minutes (say, 30) to recover, or you can use gems/dlc currency to recover them quickly

Like Mario Run it just doesn't work for me. Games like these need real sticks and buttons, not an imprecise touch-screen
