Forums - Gaming Discussion - Games you played COMPLETELY WRONG?

Yes as titles says, like you played wrong? Sound weird, here is one way i played wrong.

Mario and Luigi: SuperStar Saga

Me and my brother played it on the GameCube.... Wait thats not weird even though its on gba? Well we both had a controller each and i played the game while he had 1 job. Push the B button (luigi) when necessary.

If you played the game you understand what i mean

I played large parts of Fallout 3 and New Vegas in god mode cos I don't care about the combat in those games.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

MGS2 as a kid, killing everything. Stealth who, stealth what?

Pretty sure I've got one that almost everyone has been guilty of: Using the console to cheat my way into riches in various Sims games so that I can make a mansion.

If there's one thing those games did a great job of simulating, it's the incredible grind and misery that goes into acquiring a lot of money the legitimate way :D

For starters, World Class Track Meet and Duck Hunt.

For WCTM, instead of running with the Power Pad using our actual bodies, we just used our hands and tagged the pad super fast.

With Duck Hunt, I adjusted the color of my TV so that no matter where I shot, I got credit for shooting the ducks!

In Beyond Good and Evil, there's a part where the controls get reversed. Up is down, left is right. I just turned the controller upside down and played it looks that.

Only once I finished MGS3 without being detected. All the other times, with MGS1,2,3,4 and even 5, I go rambo on those mofos.

"We all make choices, but in the end, our choices make us" - Andrew Ryan, Bioshock.

I played uncharted on normal difficulty, that was the biggest mistake I could make.
also I never use any items (portions and healing stuff) in pokemon games

I played the Summoner games before I knew how to play RPG's. Playing them again today would probably be a very different experience.

I was still very, very young when I played Goldeneye, and the very first time I finished the game I put all the cheats on and just blast towards. It wasn't a complete loss, because playing like this I kept finding out by myself the unused elements of the game, like "The Island",the last train compartment or the items you get when you killed Ourumuv early. I remember getting curious as heck, thinking I was unlocking secrets no one knows.
