The numbers are clearly wrong for switch in Japan for the week ending 30th December. For the week 25-31 December in Japan the switch sold 134,519 units in Japan and you have the number at 13,000? Lol.

 

If you include the correct figure which is 134,519 instead of 13,683 it gives a total of 442,621 by your estimates. This is of course assuming you haven't just put in the wrong number for Japan.

Switch numbers seem much too low in Europe/RotW.

NPD has Switch as 4.88 million. We know Canada was over 200k in Sept and had a very strong holiday so when factoring in Canada+Latin America than Americas should be a minimum of 5.3 million.

Media Create has Switch over 3.3 million.


Americas+Japan is over 8.6 million which would put what Nintendo calls Others at 3.6 million.

Every shipment & sales update from Nintendo has Others right in the middle of Japan & Americas so it being just 300k over Japan and 1.7 million behind Americas doesnt seem right.

Seems a bit harsh to say, hes just pointing out an error, how was he supposed to know Trunks was already aware of the mistake?

Nothing harsh about requesting patience. To me, it’s just as “harsh” to give these guys the grief many do when they work as hard as they do to bring these updates in the first place.

I think he meant the way you worded it but I wasn't giving anyone grief either. I was just pointing out there was a mistake as was said above and I had no idea it was being corrected.

Its harsh when the person isnt showing any signs of being impatient.


Like i said, all he did was point out an error since there was no indication that the person responsible for said error knew they made one.

Thats not being impatient, thats attempting to be helpful.

 

I agree that its harsh to give grief to the people who provide numbers but thats kinda irrelevant wouldnt you say?

Oh I know what he meant, but “Exercise patience”? Didn’t read harshly to me. I’m actually a little surprised, as I adjusted that from “be patient “, which to me, sounds worse. :p

I doubt the difference in North America is that small between PS4 and Switch. According to NPD the Switch sold 50% more consoles in the USA during the month of December.

Ah, no worries my good man! Seems like a misunderstanding all around!
