There are only so many minutes in a day. If you'd report on every single incident or issue of every single country, you'd need 100h a day to cover everything. While we're right now thinking about the poor farmers in SA we're completely ignoring 99% of the other victims in other countries.

There is just a finite amount of time in a day and space in human brains to process everything.

Reminds me when Nigeria had it's biggest terrorist attack ever, a mosque was bombed, 50 dead and hundreds injured but I didn't hear about it until about a week after it happened. Not everything can be covered.

I have trouble taking a 22 year old, alt-right, college dropout, youtube personality seriously on facts like this.

That said, sure there are a lot of fucked up stuff happening in South Africa, just like in every developing country in the world that the western media give zero shits about, because it's not north america. (Quick when is the last article you seen about people getting murdered in india, or even australia, which is white and we also don't give a fuck about the news there)

Anyway, if you want some cool insight about what life is/was like in South Africa and are truly interested outside of click bait headlines, read the book "Born a Crime" by Trevor Noah (mixed race, born and raised in South Africa, current host of "The Daily Show") It'll blow your mind and give a much clearer sense of what life there is like (over a dozen official languages, many ethnic groups even in the black community that DON'T get along, etc)

Okay, having looked through this again;

 

The comment by the president is just straight up fiction. Don't get me wrong, the Zuma is a lunatic. But the worst he's said on the issue is proposing communist-style redistribution of land, by the state. I was unable to find any source that could provide me an example of him inciting citizens to violence against white farmers (or anyone, for that matter - because that's just ridiculous.)

 

South Africa is an exceptionally violent - among all communities, you WILL find a good handful of sob stories to report - also for white farmers. There seems to be no evidence whatsoever that the target community has been particularly targeted by a wave of crime.

 

Conclusion - until further notice, this is a non-story. Just another case of media (in this case, a random Youtuber) selectively taking sentimental stories to gain traction for bogus alarmist claims. Same shit they pulled with BLM. I hate this kind of stuff...
