He wasn't begging for a port though. He was just saying that a Switch port would help this game a lot. You can't deny that's true, a lot of Switch owners would love this game.
The comment he was replying to, was saying that it could sell over 10 million. That's a very bold prediction. There are only a few million PS4 owners in Japan, and not all of them will buy the game. This means it would have to sell at least 6 million in the west, which seems very unlikely unless there's a lot of marketing for this game.
If the game would come to the Switch, however, 10 million is definitely a realistic prediction.

Let's stop this narrative that they changed the gameplay for the western crowd and debunk that myth because of that rumor.
They didn't ignore Japan. MHW is still a MonHun game.  By the looks of it you didn't even have a PS4 to begin with so you didn't experience the beta and you are not following any information for MHW. Nothing major has changed. It plays like a Monhun game. MHW is a massive improvement from previous the MonHun game. I agree with Vivster. "The thing that will keep some players away is not the game itself but the platforms it's not on."

Also, what I said on the other thread. Capcom is not short sighted. It's a business decision where Switch is not part of that equation because the platform doesn't exist outside Nintendo when they made that decision.

At the time we had to commit to our hardware choices, we decided on using the most powerful current generation consoles available at the time, which was Playstation 4 and Xbox One. So [the decision was made] before the Switch was even announced or on sale.

It's also because for every title we decide what the best fit for hardware is for the concept. We don't just look at everything. It's more like “if we want to achieve this kind of game concept, where's the best place to achieve that?” and for this title the Playstation 4 and Xbox One were the best fit for us."

In before you tell me that they enough time to port it to Switch. PC is for Autumn release so they didn't have enough manpower to finish it so what more a newly platform that didn't exist when they started developing the game.

OT great scores and I hope the review translate to sales. This is a great start for MHW. Do we have any comparison for the other MonHun games?

Do people actually take into account for paying for PS Plus/XBL before purchasing a game? Like that's a deal breaker or something? :/

I mean its like $5/month, that's probably far less than people buying their avocado toast (referring to that thread lol) or a cup of coffee at Starbucks on a regular basis in a month.  And the free games they give you you seriously cant complain as it just pays for itself and gives back more.  Oh well, to all one's own.

OP:  Could this be the first MH to be stay above 90?  It'd be quite the accomplishment for Capcom if it does.  Hope sales will do great for this!
