It should be like 40$. I think that would be a fair price.

Agreed. It's an older title that doesn't have the replay value (specifically speaking about multiplayer) that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has.  Regardless if folks missed it or not. It doesn't negate that fact that it's an older title that's being ported.

i will contact kimishima and get to the bottom of this... this is insane!!! i tell you!!!! insane!!!!!!!

Good question.

My guess is: because they got away with overcharging for MK8D and Pokken Tournament DX in a similiar fashion. It's just that DKTP doesn't have any DLC to be included to mask how miniscule the actual update to the game is.

DKTP is an absolutely stellar game nonetheless and well worth the 60$, especially if you've never played it before. But as a potential double dipper I'll wait for a pricedrop, or buy used.

You gotta pay for the god mode, err double jump, super glide, and invulnerability to spikes due to a surf board.

It's $60 because Nintendo knows that people will pay that price. Nintendo has all the leverage so some not so consumer friendly results should be expected.

Considering the Wii U version is a Nintendo Selects title for $19.99, yes $60 is a bit exorbitant

I imagine it's because they know a lot of us (myself included) will gladly drop $60 for it lol

Nintendo benefits from the failure of the Wii U to some extent here in that many of these ports will likely reach players who never had a chance to play the original version.

Either way, games generally sell at a price point they think they can get away with but avoid negative headlines by stopping at the traditional $60. I was honestly rather surprised Dark Souls won't be full priced.

It's interesting that we treated games so different from other things, such as book reprints or film remasters to a better medium; people never mind the price there, even when they're often more expensive than they originally were.

That's way too much. It's an old game, and a disappointing one after Returns. It also offers little longevity.

But I can't imagine Nintendo pricing it $60, I'm sure it'll be $30 or $40.

This.

The game isn't any worse than Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey, so price shouldn't make people hold off. Whether it will cost $50 or $60, it's a must-buy for anyone who missed it on Wii U.

Those games aren't years old ports.

Are you saying the price of the game is Funky?

I would sell it at $60 if I had a user base this big after only 10 months too. WiiU didn't have that.
