Forums - General Discussion - How many brothers and sisters do you have ?

2 step-sisters. One in Montreal, one in Vancouver. Haven't seen either of them since 1998. The golden age of rock.

That's mostly the case in Africa. The richer a country is, the less children people usually get.

I think it's more to do with development than wealth. I know here in England 2-3 generations ago families were still very large, and we were probably richer in comparison to the rest of the world back then than we are now. Although that said we still have some very large families on account of people abusing the overly generous welfare system.

Actually, I think it tends to be the opposite. Most of the countries with higher birthrates don't really have any safety nets, so they have to rely on their children to take care of them if something goes wrong or they get old instead as the state won't help them.

1/2 or one half sibling.

One BRUDAH and one SISSTAH, both older than me

I was referring specifically to the UK and all those chav families that are too lazy to work so pop out 10 kids quick, claim child support for all of them and end up having significantly more money than the average working household.

Do you have any examples of that happening?
