Forums - Gaming Discussion - What has held up better. Okami or Wind Waker?

what has held up better?

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker 37 63.79%

Okami 21 36.21%

Total:58

These are 2 games people often use as perfect examples of a style that still holds up after over a decade while games that aimed for realism age poorly.  Well, both games have received HD ports. So the question is which game do you feel holds up better between the 2?

Okami without a doubt

Wind Waker, by far. Not saying Okami doesn't still look good. But i feel like Wind Waker is on another level. The game looks amazing.

Edit: Also, are we taking gameplay into consideration or just graphics ? If we talk gameplay, then i can say Wind Waker has better gameplay than A LOT of today's games, which is mindblowing. I still haven't played Okami HD so i can't comment on the gameplay for that game, gonna buy it later and play.

Both have graphics that are still excellent, they hold up great. I just like Okami more.

Wind Waker, but both games are great.

I still hate the voices in Okami.

dont like the 2d style of okami at all. Windwaker HD looks fantastic.

Only criticism I can give wind wakers visuals is the bloom, which was a common issue with games of that era.

Wind Waker looks cleaner, while Okami looks more muddied.

Wind Waker didn't have bloom on Gamecube. That was added with the Wii U release.

Which was "Common for the era". :P
It was a plague on the 6th and 7th gen hardware and to a lesser extent 5th gen, absolutely can't stand it.

Thankfully it's less of an issue on today's console which tend to use things like Global Illumination.
