VGChartz numbers ARE NOTHING.

We have official estimate of Switch outselling PS4 by 420K in USA, and 1.12 million in Japan. That's alone is 1.56 million gap. To this, add the fact that:

Switch has probabily outsold PS4 in Canada, France, and maybe South Korea? It was launch month for Switch, and we know it sold very good (110k), so is definitively possible it beat PS4 in December in that market.

 

How is PS4 gonna close such a huge gap like that? Swicth has 99.999% outsold PS4 in December worldwide.

Vgchartz numbers are wrong.

3 million for PS4 are official numbers that come directly from Sony.

NPD (US)+Media Create (Japan) is 2.4 million officially. Swith launched in S. Korea in Dec and sold 110k officially, that puts it over 2.5 million between 3 countries. Europe+Canada+Australia+Latin America is well over 500k, there is no way to deny that.

 

Switch sold more than PS4 in Dec.

Maybe he meant it outsold PS4 by 1.12m in US+Japan?

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuh ok that's actually a big mistake lol

For some reason i had in mind the Switch sales for the intere quarter (1.52 million), that's because i talked about Switch performance during Q3 just recently and when i talked about December i did a big mix. My bad.

Correct numbers:

NSW - 915,000
PS4 - 300,000

Gap = 615,000 Switch favour

So the gap is 1,035,000 between US and Japan.

I'm just mad with people using VGChartz numbers to "deny" some serius estimate WW. That's not even me trying to say Switch sold more than PS4, is just about VGChartz estimate, which are clearly not good this month.

No, like i said, i discussed about Q3 sales of Switch for predicting the WW shipments, and japan was 1.52 million.

I had that number in mind, and i confused for a second this to only December sales, that was a big typo.
