Relatively slow december for the PS4, but it was to be expected from Sony not having any great deals in december. Congrats to Nintendo for a strong month for both Switch and the 3DS.

There was a guy here that called the Switch sales to a tee in the Amazon thread (mainly that Nintendo usually sees double the sales in Dec) and I doubted him. I am sorry. He called it on the nose.

that analyst must be ignoring nintendo announcement of 10 million as of December 10 . he has t be talking about shipment numbers.

Wow very surprised by that low PS4 amount... but also surprised by the lack of price cutting by Sony as well.

Switch did better than i thought it would. Xbox beating Sony,... sony must have just decided profit in december was more important.... i really do get surprised by sony's plans sometimes.

I think that's the wrong way to think about it.  For the seven days that Sony had the PS4 on sale, it was virtually sold out in the US.  It would not have been able to meet demand if the price would have through the entirety of the holiday season.

He not ignoring sales numbers, but shipment numbers are not same like sales numbers, shipment numbers are always higher.

According to posters on era Xenoblade 2 sold over 280k with digital.
