Forums - Sales Discussion - Switch has sold over 600,000 units in Germany

I wasn't aware that the Wii was still a very popular item on the market in 2018!

switch is only selling better because it launched in march and got a full holiday period. in 2018 wii  will out sell switch by a huge margin.

Doesn't really matter beacuse point is same, and thats that Switch is selling great in any case.

it does matter because the comparison to wii is seriously flawed, how is it doing compared to 3ds? its probably behind in europe.

Again doesnt relly matters, and its impressive because Wii is best selling Nintendo console, and Switch selling better for same time period despite fact thats released in March is impressive in any case. Switch is selling great in any case and thats main point. Comparing to 3DS, what we know is that Switch is selling worse compared to 3DS only in Japan beacuse huge stock problems that still exist, in US and Europe it seems that Switch is selling better than US for same time period.

Sweet adjustments, here we go.

The Switch is selling like hot cakes! (Whatever they are, all I know about them is that they sell well).
The Xbox One is selling like Christmas cake after the 25th.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Some numbers for comparison:

As of September 2007
Wii: 361,000 (10 months)
360: 316,000 (22 months)
PS3: 135,000 (7 months)

Wii ended 2007 with 728K

That's 66% better than Wii in the same timeline.

For a comparation, Wii sold 361,000 first month.

Wii also sold 728,000 in 14 months, so Switch has to sell 128,000 in 4 months for still be head of Wii after his first true holiday... looks very possible.

what did ps4 sell its first 14 months. that seems pretty low for wii, then again wii was very supply constrained for more then one holiday.

PS4 sold 1.4 million in 14 months. No doubt PS4 in Germany is by far a bigger success than Switch, as many other Europe countries.

So despite being the more populated country, there are 33% less Switch in Germany than in France.
