No your point does not remain.

Nintendo is not struggling with AC whatsoever

"In 13 years only one has sold over 5 million"

Thats not how the world works, you cant just make up stupid arbitrary time lines like that.

The more accurate assessment is

"Both mainline portable titles did over 11 million and since Switch can be played as a portable than its safe to assume AC will continue to do over 11 million."

People on this site will like you more if you just admit when you are wrong instead of making up nonsense to save face.

i'm the one who is wrong? you were the one calling AC bigger then 3d mario, which is about the dumbest thing i heard. franchise only has 2 games over 5 million, and you call it bigger then mario.

The 1st AC was originally on N64 Japan only, so naturally this hurt the sales there when it released on GC. It released really late in Europe/others. (In fact they weren't even going to release it there at all to begin with.) Plus it was a new franchise. Sales were excellent for Wild Woods. Then a follow up on wii was deemed too similar and possibly released too soon after. 2 others we already told you were spin-offs. New leaf sold and continues to sell well, particularly in Japan and possibly has a shot at outselling ALL 3D Marios (Bar Odyssey) eventually.

Regardless, this thread is about German Switch sales, we are going way off-topic. Feel free to continue this discussion in my post which i've linked.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Like i said a couple times earlier read better.

I said the games are AS BIG or bigger.

The portable Animal Crossing games sell over 11 million while 3D Mario does about 12 million. They are essentially the same size.

dude you just don't compare franchises like that, as big or bigger, it's not, it's ridiculous.   you have to look at the franchise history, 3d mario delivers way more sales and profit for nintendo, mario 64 alone with the ds version, have the same amount of sales as those 2 games for AC. not to mention we know already MO is on it's way to at least 17 million sold.

You dont seem to be understanding the concept of Animal Crossing doing different numbers when home and when portable.

The whole point of our discussion is about determining the impact of these franchises on Switch, correct?

Since Switch can be played as a portable, it makes no sense to compare it to home only versions.

The only comparisons that make sense are the portable entries.

Portable entries of Aninal Crossing have done similar numbers as the best bessing 3D Mario titles, that is a fact.

what we were talking about is bigger franchises. still the advantage is huge for 3d mario  it appeals to console, and handheld, and switch is both so mario has a way bigger audience, you can pm if you wanna to continue the conversation
