anything possible but mario O  already did it, but mario odyssey is waht people wanted from a mario game for a long time. i don't think smash or AC will come close. 

You've openly admitted you know very little about Animal Crossing so you're probably not the best person to make a prediction on it and can quite easily underestimate it. As for Smash you are definitely underestimating it.

when i mean wow factor, i'm talking graphics, which was a really huge factor back then, and wii was just to weak of a  hardware for that time, the gap in graphic power was really too big, and wii games were really ugly.

That would be the only scenario for Smash not getting amazing sales on the Switch imo. People are rampantly awaiting the next Smash!

Mario Odyssey is selling much better than a normal 3D Mario because it is based on Mario 64 and any of the Wii games. If anyone bothered to do any research on 5th generation then one would know that Mario 64 was uber big. Bigger then the Wii games or 3DS games. So making a direct sequel to Mario 64 was the best idea for Nintendo.

Not knocking on the Wii games but they weren't really like the N64 games as they were much more linear. Sales potential depends on what Nintendo does with the franchise. That's why I keep saying a proper 2D Mario with ambition will sell so much that it will pass peak Pokemon. 2D Mario on the NES was such a phenomenon that it blows every game franchise today.

I agree but to turn around and try to claim that Smash and AC are bigger than 3D Mario when it isn't is crazy. 

 

I believe Switch will have many of the biggest for each franchise.

umm yes, so,e my favorite all time games are nintedo games, mainly mario and zelda. mario 3 was mind blowing graphically on nes. mario 64 made playstation graphics look like shit at the time, it wasn't cause it was 3d dude, shit was far beyond anything graphically.

I believe Switch will have many of the biggest for each franchise.

3D Mario is a bigger franchise in terms of prestige, recognition, importance etc. for Nintendo. However,sales are a different story.

 

As for the last part of your quote, i agree. I think we will see a very successful Smash, AC and 2d Mario.
