So, any VGChartzers got your mits on Labo yet?

An understandable assumption. Labo may not be the kind of thing I'd play myself, but I do find it immensely interesting from a conceptual point of view and as a topic of discussion.

Fair enough. No kids/nephews/nieces to play it with then? I think it's an excellent concept too but i have neither the finances or the patience to get 1 just yet. Maybe 1 day.

I don't have kids and my nephews/nieces don't live close. Mostly I am interested in seeing how Labo pans out and the creations people make with it.

Cool. With your kids, I guess? What do they like about it?

My 3 year old son likes the fishing and my 5 year old daughter really likes messing with the critter in the house. Still need to make the motorbike & piano.

Guess my daughter will have to wait till Christmas or something as the prices here are insane, the prices of the Variety Kit and Robot Kit are $115 and $124 respectively, it's thanks to the weight of the boxes jeez.

I had a feeling the house would go over well with girls, it's basically a virtual dollhouse crossed with a cute pet. Let us know how the motorbike and piano go!

Rather strange news from China regarding Labo:

Nintendo Labo Are The Best Selling Video Games On Amazon China

Although Nintendo Labo isn’t officially localized into Chinese yet, it isn’t stopping Chinese customers from purchasing it to play!

On Amazon China’s video game bestseller rankings, four different variations of Nintendo Labo are currently dominating the charts – No. 1 goes to Robot Kit along with the Japanese pre-order bonuses (this is a huge surprise), Variety Kit at No. 2, Robot Kit at No. 3, and Variety Kit with Japanese bonuses at No. 4.

If you’re curious what follows Nintendo Labo on the bestseller charts, it’s a whole bunch of other Nintendo accessories and games, such as the Super Famicom Mini, Dark Souls Remastered, and Nintendo Labo masking tapes. Good to see Nintendo doing well in China!

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Reception seems to be overwhelmingly positive for the variety kit at least. Really hope word of mouth builds the buzz for it. Would make an awesome gift for parents to get their kids this Holiday, but will need to maintain awareness and visibility until then. I'd also really like to see the price drop down $10 to "normal" game price. I think that $10 would honestly make a big difference in consumer's perception of it being too expensive.
