I'm probably going to watch some unboxings of these to see what they actually look like in-person.

Plenty of hands-on demonstrations on Youtube.  Personally I'd rather not be spoiled by someone else's experience.  Really excited to model my motorbike tracks with the camera (the radar gun looking build) and the 3D space imager (the tiny motorbike).  Hopefully the software is as bug free as typical for 1st party Nintendo games.

So, Nintendo just release a FAQ on Nintendo Labo.

It confirm that yes you could buy additional cardboard sheets, but they also try to push the idea that you dont need to very hard. First, you can repair cardboard pretty easily, and they suggest several time to keep the original cards once you remove the pieces from it to copy them on a regular cardboard and make your own replacement parts.

it also show that the piano come with card that you punch holes (or fill holes if you want to change the card function) that are call waveform and rhythm cards.

im interested in the sales. I can't pin that its either going to be really successful or a complete flop. It can go either way. But if it does sell, will they sell us paper next time?

Define what "a complete flop" would be for you.  And doesn't everyone love to use that slippery slope argument.  They're not selling us cardboard or paper; they're selling us the tech with an environmentally-conscious solution that is affordable to manufacture and for consumers to reproduce.

Nintendo is going to get a lot of word of mouth/viral advertising from what people make using the Toy-Con Garage and from cover bands using Labo instruments.

I think its great that Nintendo is able to produce these videos and showcase some of the potential for not just for Labo, but for the Joy-Cons as well. I think a very ambitious developer (besides Nintendo) can really use the Joy-Cons and their arsenal of features (i.e., HD rumble, IR pointer, gyro controls, the ability to play 2-player, etc.) to the fullest if time and money permits them to.

It'll be interesting to see how schools and other educational programs can utilize this and come up with unique projects.

Just 15 days until the release of Labo! Anyone have any special plans for release day? Will you be putting them together with friends? Your kids? Significant other? Or will you hog them all to yourself?

Another nice trailer. Nintendo still knows their marketing :).
