Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Labo-ratory: VGC OFFICIAL Labo Thread (Vehicle Kit out now)

Oh yeah, it only came to me that Nintendo doesn't intend to replace the current Switch hardware SKU for a good while considering how these cardboard peripherals are specifically designed to the dimensions of the original Switch SKU unless they want incompatibilities ... (a smaller Switch unit with non-detachable joycons are not an option this point so this will limit how far Nintendo can push down hardware prices)

A bit of extra cardboard should be able to make up for any size difference. All it would mean is that anyone buying Labo would have to buy a set of joycons which they would have to buy anyway if they want local multiplayer. I think it's more likely we'll see mini joycons on a smaller unit before an SKU with built in controls. They have enough empty space that they could lose an inch off the bottom and still keep the same button layout and features.

Nintendo would be able to get a lot more form factor size savings if they just integrated the controllers into the unit itself ... (buying another set of accessories makes LABO even less desirable since customers now have to cross two barriers such as the console itself and the required accessory on top of the games higher MSRP to access the content)

Why is it that any time you post anything to do with Nintendo it is always, always downplaying, negativity, and FUD?

How is that relevant to the discussion at hand ?

It's relevant because constantly spreading negativity and FUD towards a certain brand degrades the quality of discussion.

Well if you don't like it then you can either argue against it or just ignore it ...

How hard can that be ?

Or you could do us all a favour and refrain from such toxic behaviour.

Are you really going to get irritated when many discussions are started over discourse ? (Fine, since you asked and the fact that your the OP of this thread, I'll refrain, you happy now ?)

Okay, maybe I overreacted, I don't actually have an issue with the point you raised here. It's just that I honestly can't ever remember you discussing Nintendo in a neutral or positive way, only ever negatively. Though having said that, it is true I haven't seen all or even most of your posts on VGChartz.

That's because I take long absences ...

My point might actually end up being bunk since Nintendo may as well create another game SKU for different hardware models but I still don't think the game would work without detachable joycons though ...
