do people lack basic comprehension skills? that's the only way I can justify them actually thinking its $70 for cardboard.

I’m tired of people ranting about this by saying that the durability is going to be bad, that it will break easy and ripped appart. Because it’s cardboard make it more durable.

Why ? Because it’s frigging cardboard ! You can bend it, and it will not break. You step on it ? There’s a good chance that you will need to undo the thing and maybe rebuild it, but it will probable be pretty much intact.

But ok, let’s say the cardboard did ripped appart. So ? Unless it’s ripped appart in hundred of piece, what stop you to take tape and repair it ?

Nintendo will not supply you with free cardboard replacement ? Take all the parts, put them on a regular cardboard, draw around them with a pen and use scissors to make yourself a replacement kit. Better yet, scan them, print them on a regular paper and use that paper as a stencil to make parts.

The strings break ? Make a knot to repair it ? Buy more strings, it’s string, you buy a hundred meters of the stuff for 5$. Same thing with the rubber bands...

If you, or more likely your kids are enough into arts and crafting that you want to buy this, there’s a very good chance that you can come up with a repair solution in case of breaking.

they expect it to be made from carbon fiber or titanium...

wait til CNET review labo :P

*Steps on it... it is broken.... need more durable material

I can't wait for the "nailed it" memes. Nintendo is going to make a killing off people shitposting terrible builds of these things.

Either that or they know it's a blatant lie, but say it anyway in an attempt to downplay the "enemy" brand.

According to Nintendo, applications for the hands-on Labo events outstripped the amount of available spaces "50 fold" in the US

Some hands-on previews are also live:

Labo also includes a "Garage" Toy-con that allows users to program and make their own Labo creations:

Wow, I'm impressed. You can do so much!

Labo is gonna sell pretty damn well. Casual market gonna eat it up.

New hands-on from Gamespot: The Labo house includes a Bowling minigame similar to the one in Wii Sports. (At 0:41 in the top video)

The DNA of the Wii/DS is very evident the more they show of this; it's very much a product in the vein of stuff like Nintendogs and Wii Sports/Fit
