I like the concept actually, although (logistical nightmares aside) I think a design tool for this would be really neat.

What I fail to grasp is how this is supposed to extend their reach. I son't think any parent is going to buy a Switch just to get their kids a Labo. I can see parents that have already bought their kids a switch buying into this because it looks creative and fun and like a project to do toghether that is less stereotypically video gamey, but buying the console specifically for this? I don't see it...

They charge $80 or $70 for a bit cardboard, a bit of string and some software. That's Ka-ching right there.

Erm... it's cardboard... and in childrens hands it will break in minutes.

I wouldn't buy that for my niece, that's for sure. Quite honestly, it looks like trash to me, wich is where it will go in most cases i bet.

Criticism is allowed, but people are also allowed to call out ridiculous statements

Then call out the killer app one...

...Ok? I personally don't expect it to be a killer app, but I also recognize that it could very well hit the right marks for kids. Just because you see no value in it doesn't mean kids will react in the same way

Im not saying its not "neat". but the difference between this and something that you find at a mall toy store that connects to your iPad is the word "Nintendo".

Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda!!!!

The majority of the price is for (the cartridge ?! with) the game, not the cardboards.

Oh okay lol. I guess there are chances for Nintendo to sell just cardboards for a much cheaper price.

Aparently they are going to offer cardboard replacement kits at a lower price.

Nintendo can be so weird sometimes...

Signature goes here!

Customization kit is $10. I bet they will sell replacement for the same or something at $20

How does that work? like  You have to buy the original first and if it breaks you can get another one for a cheaper price?

Pocky Lover Boy!

I may be crazy about this, but I've heard you can fix cardboard with something called "sticky tape".

Also don't trust me on this one, but I've also heard you can photocopy things printed on cardboard and paste the copy onto a brand new cardboard with this thing called "glue".

If it turns out to be pretty good, and if it gets a price drop, I might consider getting this.
