The current forum is so ancient, particularly on mobile screens. 

When you use modern forums like Xen (even used by GAF now), it's really hard to go back to VGchartz.

I think this is the main thing that prevents new users from staying here.

And wipe away the improvements made recently? Na. The forum isn't perfect but it's getting there.

Nah don't change it. I like that it is overly simple.

VGC looks great to me, even on mobile. The only bad thing are the ads and they can be easily avoided installing adblock. If they made this site look like gaf I would quit right away lmao

It's a good forum, it should stay this way. The forum buddy is a nice feature and I like the design.

Gaf had a good layout, until they changed it last week trying to copy resetera, now it looks like total shit.

Best forum I ever used was GameTrailers back in the vBulletin days (before the database errors and redesign). Had all the nice tracking and sorting features, groups and blogs, good BBCode support, and a nice readable color scheme and layout. This forum takes some getting used to and certainly has room for improvement but isn't bad once you get the hang of it and has some nice if obtuse features (apart from the instability).
