Yeah, all it did was help the franchise exist.

MH is so popular in japan, it still would be a thing when it only stayed on consoles till now. But i am very very glad it made it way back to good consoles, it seems to be the best MH ever. I do not say i dont want any more MH's on handhelds, but please no more main titles.

It's possible if it turns out to be a surprise hit in the west, but I think that will depend quite a lot on how good the game is. In Japan, the PS4 userbase is too small for it too become a huge success.

With the launch of MH, the PS4 should manage to get 6 million owners in Japan. So when every 3rd person will buy MH there, and i am sure they will, means they sell 2 millions in japan alone. And this would be a huge success for a console game in japan

I think it will sell less than MH4U.

Ai Predicting 1.4m FW on PS4 and 2.8m lifetime and 200k FW for Xbox and 600k lifetime.

I think many people in the west will play this in the evening @home with friends. Trust me :)
