Watching now! THANKS!

edit: It's just a mashup of footage we've already seen. :(

I hate falling for these fake mashup videos and giving them clicks.

Wow the kid is annoying. And the constant "Yes sir" just comes across as pathetic. A child can still be respectful without resorting to calling someone sir. Just as they can call you sir and be disrespectfu at the same time. It's 2018 sir isn't needed anywhere. We aren't uneducated serfs.

They've already heard the criticism and are cutting the boy's responses back for release. (also 2018?!)

Graphics are good but frame rates seem to be unstable in this game. There are some points that looks like FPS falls to 15-20ish.

It's a mashup...The trailers were all flawless, so it must be some wrong compression or other stuff on the uploader's side.

The kid will fight throwing fidget spinners at one point.

from where I'm from? we don't even call out parents mum or dad.

you call everyone older than you "sir" or "ma'am". Nothing pathetic about that. it's just respect and or culture.

Not sure what this has to do with education anyway.

Kid sounds annoying, hope he dies early in the game.

I'm kinda missing the old voice actor for Kratos.

Have a feeling the story will be great.

It's not 2018 in the game's setting.

So now you are suggesting this is a period drama and people from that era speak that way?? Seriously??

I know some Norwegians and Swedes, I can certainly ask them how accurate this dialogue is for that time period, if you really want to go down that road??

i just don't buy into the "yes sir" crap. Would the game be less sellable if the boy was still respectful but answered with "Yes Dad!" Or for even more authenticity saying "Yes Far" and for 100% authenticity "Ja Far" (in case you don't know that's Yes Father in Norwegian/Swedish) . There is lots they could do better than using antiquated "sir", IMO❗️

I'm just really not sure you're serious.

Please see my reply to Hynad. The TL;dr; version, there are lots of ways they could make it better and less subservient. Yes even for a game.

Because sir and madam (the non contracted version of ma'am) are the terms of a by gone era. At least in parts of the world that have understood how those terms were used to distinguish those who serve and those who command.

I will buy the game as I love the GoW universe, but they better be consistent and when they meet up with women in the story arch they are respectfully referred to as madam too. Otherwise it's just a mish mash of time cultures, which then pulls the gamer out of the immersive narrative.
