Forums - Gaming Discussion - If you like Dark Souls and are a multiconsole owner with a Switch, portability or 60fps?

I played vanilla Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and I could tolerate 30FPS, so I am still interested in the Switch version.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It cost $39.99 on ps4, xbox, pc, and switch.

now here is the thing. if you buy it for switch you're paying full price for lower performance compared to the others. IJS, it should probably be cheaper.

edit: (This has been debated, so don't try. You'll lose) (facts are posted through out the thread. happy searching)

Double Dip for me, Switch for Portability + Ps4 or Pc for 60fps

Price.Since the game would be great in either console, being affordable is more important. After that, its a really hard call.Since I prefer home consoles, and the Switch is inferior as that compared to the PS4, then I guess I would get the PS4 version.Having said that, if I went to the store and the only version available would have been the Switch, I would have bought it without guilty, since the added portability would be great(given that every now and then I do travel)

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

If it isn't broken on PC, that is where I will get it.
Otherwise, I won't buy the game at all.

I'll get it for Switch for portability without hesitate to play at work. Tho i do have PS4, Xbox One, PC & other console collection, these are for quick-play on the midnight weekends starting at 11PM.

Can get the game on PC, but already have the original on PC. Will be getting it on Switch for portability.

And if I get more utility from the game being portable? By your logic, developers should start charging for PS4 Pro/ XBX performance/visual enhancements in their games. PC versions of games should cost more too.

Typically I value portability over performance, but not for Dark Souls. PS4 for me.
Maybe ill double dip though.

hey man, I'm not stopping you if you're comfortable forking over full price for games with lower performance.

for comparison there are games for PS4, PS3 and Vita. Vita versions are usually the cheapest. IJS.

edit: even Persona 5 on PS3 is cheaper than the PS4 version.
