But why would on earth Vita game cost more than home console game when Vita is just a handheld and price point of big Vita games is $40 same like it is for 3DSnot $60 like its case for XB1/PS4/Switch!?

Again poing that dont make any sense, price point of hardware dont have anuthing with price point of games, Switch has same price point like XB1/PS4, Wii had much lower price point than PS3 and also had same price point of $60 for games.

Basically everything you wrote is wrong and don't make any sense, few examples that are exceptions dont change nothing.

Well I'm just going to say it doesn't make sense to you because you don't understand. Even with irrefutable factual evidence.

Relly!? Than tell to me why Wii multiplatform games were not cheaper compared to PS3/360 versions of same game, why Switch games not cheaper copared to PS4/XB1, why PS4 Base/XB1 S game are not cheaper to Pro/X version of games, why 3DS versons of games were not cheaper compared to Vita games!? Simply because how games looks and performs no effect on price point of that game, that was never case and its even now, and thats a fact, fewexceptions dont change nothing when thats case for over 95% of games.

Ya rly.

First, the point that I'm making is that you're paying the same price for an inferior version, and there is factual evidence that some games are priced accordingly due to technical differences. I do not care about what happened in other gens, I'm just pointing out an observable fact.

Secondly, how many times (4th time?) do I have to explain to you that PS4/XB1 consoles are cheaper than the Pro/X consoles? The fact that the Pro/X consoles are more expensive justifies the parity of their video games price tag.

If you still do not get it then that's too bad, and if you really want the last word then go ahead. As far as I'm concern this was over long ago.

First, like I wrote, how same game looks or performs dont effects on price point and never was, again, Wii multiplatform games had same price point like PS3/360 multiplatform, Switch multiplatform games have same price point like XB1/PS4 multiplatform, Vita multiplatform games had same price point like 3DS multiplatform games, and thats a fact. Secondly, Switch version of game is inferior in graphics or performance compared to PS4/XB1 versions of games, but you keep ignoring fact that you with one Switch game you have game that works in full handheld and full home console mode and that gaves extra value to Switch games, PS4/XB1 games offer only home console mode.

Fact that PS4/XB1 are cheaper than Pro/X does not change nothing, because some games look better and devs tooked extra efort in order that those games look better or perform better on better hardware compared to base hardware. And going buy your point those PS4/XB1 base games would need to be cheaper, and that of course doesn't make any sense.

You said long ago its over and that you dont want to reply me any more, but you keep replying and keep pushing your failed point.

Portability for me, but the beauty of a multiplat is you can choose whatever works best for you

Switch for me. I get to play it on a home console AND a portable console. Plus: cartridges baby!

I'm back only because now you're making up false statements. Just to make things clear.  --- "The fact that the Pro/X consoles are more expensive justifies the parity of their video games price tag."

Goes without saying, I think I made my point pretty clear there. By the way value in portability is subjective, because not everyone likes a small screen.

Lastly,

It cost $39.99 on ps4, xbox, pc, and switch.

now here is the thing. if you buy it for switch you're paying full price for lower performance compared to the others. IJS, it should probably be cheaper.

I feel there is a failure in communication here. I never said it have to be cheaper,  what I'm saying here is maybe it should be. You cannot deny that there are multiplat games that are cheaper on certain platforms, so  taking all things into consideration that is why I made that statement. So what is it you're looking for? An apology for hurting your feelings or something?

You do realise that doesn't make any sense right!? Price point of hardware dont have nothing with price point of game, again Wii at launch had twice lower price point than PS3 and they had same price point of games, now you can regulary buy PS4/XB1 for less money than Switch and that offocurse dont have effect on price point of games.

Fact that you have value in game that works in full handheld and full home console mode is a fact in any case, devs when working on Switch games they working in way that game can work in two difrent modes, full handheld and full home console mode, point that some one prefer home play play over portability or portability over home console play dont change that fact.

Basicly you could also said "if you buy it for XB1 compared to PS4 you're paying full price for lower performance compared to PS4. IJS, it should probably be cheaper". There is no point failure in communication at all, Switch games doesn't need "probably to be cheaper" beacuse price point of games is never effected buy performance of games (again, Wii had same price point of games like PS3/360 and that was actualy much bigger difference between games, PS4 same like XB1 despite fact that in most cases games work better on PS4, Vita games same price point like 3DS games, and now Switch games same price point like PS4/XB1), and Switch games have actually extra value because they offer two totally different modes of playing. I don't need anything from you, but you still trying keep pushing your failed point.

Many wrongs in your post here, lets go over them one at a time.

According to MSRP hardware and software does matter.

1. Cost of manufacturing: Ex: Cartridges the Switch uses cost more to make than Blu-ray discs. The cost of the cart also depends on the size of the cart. Developers working on Switch have to be mindful of the size of the game, because that will determine the cart it'll ship on. Publishers and developers are also free to set the price.

2. Digital version: Example: you can buy Puyo Puyo Tetris, or Rime from the eShop for $30, or get a physical version for $40 for the Switch version. PS4/Xbox1/PC is $30 no matter the version.

3. How does manufacturing a game effect PS4/Xbox1 and Pro/X? It doesn't because the cost of manufacturing a bluray disc on either platform is the same. But some multiplat games do cost differently which I've already proven many times.

"But deskpro2k3, why ps3/360 games cost the same huh, huh!?" Well lets not forget the big financial hit Sony took during the PS3 early console war life. Lets not forget HD-DVD vs Bluray format war. Even though Sony won the format war against the cheaper to make HD-DVD, it crippled Sony, and it's only now they're finally enjoying the profits.

"probably be cheaper" statement:  you're making a fit over a comment based on chance and reasonable observation. C'mon now

Actually nothing isn't wrong in my post, like I wrote, price point of gaming hardware dont have nothing with price point of games. You do realise now you talking about format games that effects price point of some games, not about performance and visuals of games that would need to effect games price point that was your point all the time!? So now you basically changing your goal post. :D

Yeah, cartridges in case of Switch cost more than blu rays and that's why we have few games that are more expensive for Switch compared to PS4/XB1, but that again dont change nothing, AAA Switch games are exactly $60 same like on PS4/XB1 or any other past home console, Fifa, NBA, Skyrim, Doom...they all have launch price on Switch same like they had on PS4/XB1, so even without cartridges prices of games for Switch wouldnt be cheaper compared to PS4/XB1 game price point.

I never changed the goal post, I just added more info.

Persona 5 is cheaper on PS3.. err wait, do I have to list all the games that cost different based on their performance all over again?? I quit. you win. I'm outa here folks!
