Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who among Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony will have the most critically successful games this generation?

Ofc Sony would win on console since Nintendo usually make more games on handheld and MS just being MS.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

i think it could be a battle batlle between nintendo and sony, where sony will win

That list needs DS and PSP games.

No it does not. MS doesn't have a handheld so there can't be a comparison. This is a look at the console market only.

If you'd like to make one for the handhelds feel free to do so.

But since they don't have a handheld, they should be able to make more exclusives for their home console, right?

I don't see why you wouldn't count handhelds, since Nintendo and Sony put a lot of time in developing for these systems (in the case of Nintendo, probably even more than for their home consoles).

I don't game on handhelds and therefore don't really care about what anyone's doing on those systems. Like I said just make a separate topic for the handhelds. Plus the release times of the handhelds can be years off from the consoles, so it's really hard to align the generations, it's hard enough with 360 being a year early from PS3/Wii, and WiiU being a year early from PS4/XB1.

Now adding the 3DS to this gen would mean Nintendo has almost 3 years of lead time on MS/XB1 with the 3DS and another year of WiiU, and that's just a ridiculous comparison at that point.

Not Ms, its really between the big two.

Either or, won't be much difference between them at the end of it all.

Big two? Switch is selling better X1 since day 01. So if there is "big two" is Sony and Nintendo

Anyway, PS4 will have more 75+ games just because it has more games in general

He said not MS so that leaves Sony and Nintendo by default......

3DS? They're asking you to add DS and PSP games to the first post. Those are relevant because the sequels of the first party games of those systems will be on consoles you're going to compare.

Then I would also have to add 3DS and VITA to this gen...and Have chosen to leave them all out and keep this about consoles. And for the 3rd time you are all free to make a separate topic about handhelds. I just don't want to do that as it will make the comparison extremely unfair for MS. Just because Sony and Nintendo choose to split their resources between multiple markets is not MS' fault. I have also omitted PSVR titles from this list as they can't be played on these consoles without buying additional hardware, and just because Sony is deciding to spend resources that they could use to make PS4 games on PSVR is not MS or Nintendo's problem.

You might want to change the title cuz most ppl assume that "this generation" include both console and handheld

Are we only counting exclusives.
Do "console exclusive" games (where a PC game come exclusively to a single console or whatever) count.

Out of the three console platforms, and only counting first party titles: Nintendo.
I firmly believe in their ability to put out a lot of highly received titles.

I'm sure when they see MS in there they know it's about consoles only, if that's not enough to tip them off  then they'll find out when they read the OP.
