Wow, a lot of people over in the 2018 Metascore Prediction Thread are saying Kirby will get 82-90. I put my prediction at 79 in order to hedge my bets. I can see it going either above or below that number by 4-7 points.

Could you give me a link to it ? I can't find it for some reason ...

I really like Nintendo's design philosophy of gameplay first, graphics second, for one obviously gameplay is most important and should be prioritized, but also it means we don't have to deal with the disappointment when a final product's visuals are downgraded.

As for Star Allies itself, game looks amazing! This is probably the most hype I've been for a Kirby game since Amazing Mirror! I do have a couple worries though, like where is mah Archer ability!? Water will probably become my new favorite regardless, but I'd still greatly miss Archer. Also, the AI, since I sure wont be playing this with anyone lel. That awesome Water-Ice combo that I plan to fully take advantage looks to require input from both players to pull off. I'm hoping it wont be a struggle to use like moving the heavy stone blocks in Amazing Mirror could be.

Yeah, Archer is a fun ability and I'm not sure if we've seen every copy abilities thus far.

Though, people really like to use Archer for their True Arena runs cuz of it's OP down move, I hope they'll nerf it :P

I heard the Japan site said there'll be 28 in total, and we have around 20 right now so there should be a few more.

There's always ways to cheese True Arena, but I'll have you know I beat them with Archer without using camouflage, though mainly because I wasn't aware the move made you completely invincible at the time lel.

Yeah one thing that got my attention quickly is how much better graphically looked this time, it already looked nice before but now it looks fantastic.

It does look clean, but am I the only one that prefer Planet Robobot artstyle?

It seems more like NSMB graphically there.

There's a difference? Looks like how TD and PR would look in HD to me, but I'm not super knowledgable about graphics n such.

Although despite what I just said, I can clearly see how KSA is not at all like NSMBU. Just compare the ground and backgrounds between the two. NSMBU is flat, KSA has depth.

EDIT: Refresher on what NSMBU looks like.

Strongly disagree, Star Allies has way more depth and detail than NSMB ever did; there's far more 3D geometry instead of flat pieces of scenery, a far more nuanced and diverse colour palette, more variety of assets...

Yes, it was an exageration, but Planet Robobot looked more anime to me.

Kirby can be good... sometimes they deserve higher rates too!

Switch!!!

You mean like the Kirby anime? Can't say I see how Robobot looks more like it than Star Allies. Since you're specifying PR when it and TD are made off the same engine n assets, perhaps it's just the robotic mechanical theme of PR that you like better than SA not having a specific theme.

I did not play Kirby TD, just PR. But you may be right with the theme. We will see how the game turn out to be at release.
