...and it fits in your pocket better :P

Unfortunately, it seems neither the Vita nor the Switch have the feature I wish both would have: a decent battery life.

That being said, I do agree with some here that most of these features feel unneeded because it's simply a system to play games on. If I want to watch youtube or navigate the web, I'll just use the computer. Good for those who like these, though (well, not in the case of Switch since that's what the OP is complaining about but...yeah, you get what I'm sayin').

I don't know. Vita's battery life was pretty impressive.

To be honest, I wouldn't use a Netflix on the Switch or any streaming services (it does have Hulu) but I'd definitely use everything else. I'd love to customize my background like I do my phone and I would love to use my awesome Bluetooth headphones. Plus I have like 30+ games and they're not organized at all. The Wii U is my primary browser for porn (I hate to admit it...) but it's* starting to show its age. I'm hoping the Switch could take up the slack.

*Butt tits. Snicker, snicker

To be totally honest, I barely ever turn on my Vita at all. I just want the Switch to have Vita's feature list!

*Edit* And I NEED a lock screen password as soon as possible.

I can't complain about the battery life of my Vita Slim.

My most demanding Vita game is Killzone Mecenary, there it reaches 4:20 hours with full brightness and 5 hours with medium brightness.

In Uncharted Golden Abyss it reaches 5 hours with full brightness and 5:20 hours with medium brightness.

Shovel Knight reaches 7:45 hours with full brightness and 9:30 hours with medium brightness. Visual novels, other indie games and PS1 games also reach a long battery life.

why?

Every other console released in the last decade has at least one. The Switch could have AR games like the 3DS or something. Don't you like video chatting with your friends?

It actually does! Except it's still a handheld so it sucks by default imo.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Bluetooth headphone support?
-I could take it or leave. i dont even have a pair of bluetooth headphones

Wallpapers/Themes
-you got me there, although this isnt really a deal breaker. also signs point towards that being a thing very soon

Built in voice chat
-the mobile app is not as bad as people say it it. it needs work, but it is perfectly usable

Web browser
-the Switch as one its just a bit harder to access, but it also isnt really necessary since everyone has a smartphone of some kind with internet access

Netflix and other streaming services
-it doesnt have Netflix, Amazon, or Youtube yet, but it does have Hulu.

Folders
-fair point

Lock screen password/PIN
-i never needed one for a console before, so

Camera
-i really dont think anyone cares

Backwards compatibility
-losing backwards compatibility was a necessary evil, but fair point

Downloadable library of old games
-they will come... eventually

Cross Console purchases
-this would be a fair point if the Switch and 3DS had the same games, which they dont

Messages
-Discord exists

I...don't really consider those examples to be a good life battery expectancy. It just doesn't fit the way I play, and having a "handheld" that needs to be constantly plugged because the battery kept depleting is just bad, imo. Might as well give me the better version on a home console.

Yeah all those features are great n all, and if the vita had like BotW, SMO, Skyrim, MK8 etc i would have bought one. Unfortunately it doesnt so i didnt.

Seriously though wish it had YT/NF

The Vita has a great game library.

It also has horrible, overpriced memory cards.

Library's too niche, sadly. If it were more approachable, nobody would give a crap about the memory cards.

Also, no custom backgrounds/themes on switch, really?

Do you have a physical copy of this game?
