I have only one thing to say:

Good thing i never bought a wii u,cause this is all good news for me.

A small part of wished I hadn’t bothered with the WiiU, but I had some great times being part of such a small gaming community.

overall if I knew the future I probably wouldn’t have bothered with the WiiU either as I am pretty sure ALL the WiiU Nintendo games will eventually come and be far better this time around, like MK8D.

Just think of it this way. Your not going broke.

If I didn't have a Wii U, I would have purchased a few of these remasters, but instead I feel no need to and thus have more money for other games or just more money.

Looks like Nintendo has nothing planned for 2018, as we thought. Now where's that cliff?

Tomorrow.

Are there likely to be much more announced because as of now there isn't much coming?

They had 9 Nintendo directs in the first 6 months of 2017. Counting E3 + special Nintendo directs. (they had 2 last january)

This paints a much brighter picture. I wasn't aware they have so many.

This was a great mini direct, people expected too much. Nintendo sprinkles directs all over the place throughout the year. Imagine the hysteria when the March direct comes around with a Smash, Zelda WiiU ports, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, etc....

People will then think of these games as excellent filler for an already great catalogue. Have faith. They didn't even mention Bayonetta, which we know is coming next month. This is not it for Nintendo this year.

They only announced games releasing as far as May, and I think 1 or 2 were for Summer. They could have a a big game on June announced on another direct, but yeah. Those seem to be all the games coming H1 2018.

This are not all announcements for first 6 months of year, for instance games like Doom, Mario Rabbids, Rocket League, Pekkemon Tournament, Bayonetta 1/2...are announced only 2-3 months before launch. We will most likly have another full Nintendo Direct around March-April with new announcements same like we had in 2017.

They could. But they don't need any more. Besides January, looks like we already have 1 "big" game/exclusive a month for the first 5 months. Heck, some months we have more than one game.

I do think we'll get amother direct before E3. Probably for Summer games. Amd then E3 will be for Fall, Holidays, and some 2019 stuff.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Dark Souls on Switch ... for the sake of your console, don't play it in handheld mode.

Why? I intend to play it in handheld mode. I'm a big franchise fan, and the fact that I can play it anywhere is a big plus. Do you say this because it can be too demanding? Dark Souls 1 shouldn't be so demanding for the Switch xD.

You didn't get the joke. You newb!!!

Dark Soul is known for being very hard so to avoid throwing your Switch itself used the dock mode as much as you can.

Well, yeah, I get it! I've beaten the whole trilogy and Bloodborne, so I'm pretty used to the Dark Souls frustration. I'm safe!

I HATE the dark souls series, but its very cool that it's coming to Switch.

It's so hard because the controls and animation are awful.  Hard for hard's sake does not interest me, but to each their own.

It had to do with the "Praise the Sun" in Dark Souls, so it was just a teaser that Dark Souls was coming.

Just look last year, 12. January Switch event, than we had Fire Emblem Direct, 18. January Fire Emblem Direct, 28. February Direct for Indies (Nindies), April 12. normal Switch Direct, May 17. ARMS Direct, June 6. Pokemon Direct and finaly E3.

And remember this was Mini Direct not full one, so with all that on mind I am pretty sure we will have at least another normal one in March/April (before E3).
