If those numbers are there or there abouts, there goes the Switch support from Bethesda.

Chill.

It'll probably end around 500k at the end of the year, and hopefully reach 1 million lifetime. For comparison, the XBO version is at 1.6m on VGC.

Another comparison, Super Bomberman R sold 130k first week and is over 560k right now.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Why? It's a five-six year old game at full price after the other versions have been heavily discounted for years. The fact it's doing well enough to merit the port is good enough for Bethesda, I bet the porting wasn't that expensive (no mods allowed and no real update for all the miriad of bugs still present).

All fair there, probably right a old game would likely cost next to nothing.

It was at full price on the other consoles too (Ps4 and Xbox One) at the moment that was released (October 2016).

But one thing for sure, is that bethesda games drop in price really quick, I hope the same happens with the switch version.

Switch version Will sell considerably more because most play station players have already played skyrim, and most of nintendo players (myself included) havent, by the way, skyrim Will be my next game.

I think the VR version will sell alot more, they are pretty even in first week sales however Skyrim VR was HEAVILY bundled with the VR during Black Friday and Christmas.

Also Skyrim VR is going to be one of the most sought after VR games for anyone that picks up a PSVR in 2018, where as there is so many Switch games out that new Switch buyers have more choices.

Oh, there's that other reason as well - only 2 million or so PS4 owners have PSVR.

PSVR version will hopefully sell more because it's actually a new experience of the game unlike the Switch version.

I was really disappointed that Skyrim VR wasn't a patch for the Special Edition of the game. Expecting people to buy it a second time on the same console is really pushing it.

I got it bundled with the headset+camera+2 motion controllers. And I don't regret getting that bundle, because Skyrim in VR is the best way to experience the game. But if it hadn't been for this, which was one of the cheapest ways to get all those accessories brand new, I wouldn't have gotten the game. Because, again, they should have made that mode available through a patch for the already released SE version of the game.

Maybe it was too much work, and the amount of things that needed to be tweaked and toned down was too much, but it's still asking people to buy the game again even if they already purchased the SE version... :(

Um... Skyrim is now portable and has added motion controls. That sounds like a new experience of the game to me.
