If true then the battle system isn't as bad as I had feared. Would still need a wait/pause option for me, but it might actually be playable.

They could slow down the ATB gauge speed, maybe to a level similar to FF9. That way you can still have time to choose each character's commands when their turn comes while doing the normal attacks as an action game in-between.

They could simply make it like the Wait Mode in FF XII and have the action pause when you bring up the menu.

It seems that the battle system will work in a similar way that KH battle system works.Which is... fine(I love KH), even though I hope they alternate between that and a turn based system. But Im not putting too much faith in this rumor

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Seems fake to me, especially after reading his other 'leaks' they just come across as detailed fan wishes. Reminds me of all the 'convincingly detailed' 'leaks' of SSB4 which of course all turned out to be fake. I wouldn't be shocked if neither Square Enix themselves or whoever they are outsourcing dev work to know what they're really doing yet.

Don't tempt fate, vivster.

It would have to try really really hard. The source material already sucks so the gameplay will look amazing next to it by default.

I never know whether to take your posts seriously or not.

It's easy. When I say that terrible things are terrible or good things are good, then I'm serious. When I say that good things are terrible or terrible things are good, then I'm joking.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

On the downside, dividing a single game into three independent chapters can kill immersion and leave each chapter feeling incomplete and unsatisfying. The story isn't rich enough.

They have to cater for the fact some people for some reason, might not buy game 1 or even only buy 1 and 3 or some crap, which means that can't have a leveling system that makes sense. If you only buy 2, you have no progress from the first game.

... also are they going to import progress? So if I've spent time and effort leveling up my materia, will I have that at the same state as the first game ended?

Being in 3 parts is currently the biggest reason why I will probably not be buying this game, and that hurts me knowing FF7 of my favourite games of all time. Dividing it up just seems to be being done to get money from the project when they know it'll sell loads regardless.

Hmm, pie.

Having trouble believing this long winded post from HH. Didn’t the other guy who got fired say the end of disc one ff7 was after you fight Jenova for the first time? :/

Lube Me Up

PS5 will be out before this trilogy is concluded.

Are you saying Sony hasn't made a shitload of money off the PS4 already?

It obviously has, wich is why theres no reason to reset the generation early for them (or anyone. The later years of the generation is the time to make the most sales in software). A pro 2 might make more sense.

Think about it aswell. Sony studios would need to have started development in ps5 games already. Theres just no way. If gens become this fast with game development becoming longer, each team will only manage to release 2 games per gen.

A Pro 2?! That would be downright idiotic. Pro slim next year is likely though.  PS5 is a sure thing..if rumour are true first developer kits even are out already. A 2019 release for Playstations 25th anniversary is very possible, 2020 would seem more likely, given the success they are having atm. Remember just because PS5 will be out they won’t immediately stop supporting the PS4...even less the Pro.

Are you some kind of hipster troll?! I wonder.
