Forums - Sony Discussion - My experience with PlayStation Vue

Long time customer of Spectrum TV here, (used to be called Time Warner Cable) Spectrum suddenly raised the price on their subscription, and comparing it without any movie channels like HBO, and Cinemax etc, the bill turned out to be +$180 USD, so just imagine how much it would be with all the movie channels along with internet and phone. It was an insane amount that I had to pay.

You can't say I didn't give them a chance, I tried to make a deal with them to see if they can beat PlayStation Vue.. Well long story short, they couldn't. So far, my experience with PlayStation Vue is very positive. I have the app installed on my Amazon Fire TV, and it's wired directly to my modem and been using it for 2 weeks now. I'm paying less, and I have all the channels that I want.

So yeah, Spectrum sucks. At least their internet is reliable.

This is more of a negative review of Spectrum than a review of PS Vue haha

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Glad to here you are having a good experience with Vue. The Fire TV is the best option outside of the PS4. SIE is doing an excellent job with this service. Hope you continue to enjoy.

Just curious,

Did you add any Premium channels?

How do you like the DVR?

Are you going to end up streaming to multiple devices, and/or simultaneous streams?

I really like being able to fire up three streams at once on the PS4, I believe the Fire TV supports this. So nice for times when multiple games, or programs are on.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

What I was gonna say.

Only tv sub I have right now is Netflix but I like what I'm hearing about Vue. Despite significantly increased competition lately it still seems to compare very favorably. They just need to keep rolling it out to more territories before they get overtaken.

Not at the moment, waiting for new season of Game of Thrones on HBO.

It's great, the cloud save makes it possible to save without worrying about running out of space.

I already am. My sister is using it on her mobile devices.

I'm using it on Amazon Fire TV for the living room, and on my PS4 for my room

Vue is great. It’s our source for tv in my house. Been using it for over a year now. I highly recommend it.

I wish it was available where I live. I was interested from the time I heard about it and tried signing up only to get one of those not available in your territory messages.

Yea I told a corworker who is a very causal gamer about it and he's been using it almost since the day it came out.

Wow so you're saving quite a bit then, no wonder it seems to be doing so well in the US, lol :P

Any indications on how well it's doing?

I've been using Vue since it went nationwide in America. I fucking love it.
